How to Use YouTube - YouTube Search, Filters, Options, Tools, Subscriber Feed get The MOST!

08:12
Please subscribe to my channel and "like" my video! I make new videos here every Wednesday! Share and Feel Good! Thanks Jake How To Use YOUTUBE 2013! YouTube SEARCH, Filters, Options, Tools, Subscriber Feed To Get The BEST! WATCH More YOUTUBE!! How To Use YOUTUBE EFFECTIVELY in 2013!! Well it's 2013 and YouTube has changed and grown a lot. As a YouTube video creator I though I would promote YouTube by showing how to get the best viewing experience for the viewer. It used to be when you went onto YouTube's homepage that the most popular and most viewed videos would display. Now YouTube has changed to making it a subscriber centric website trying to make people follow people as oppose to simply what's hot now. YouTube wants to be the media choice of the future where it's the go to place instead of television and in order to do that the viewer can benefit by learning about and getting involved with the video creators themselves. First I show what the YouTube homepage looks like in 2013 where all the videos from the channels your subscribed to display. Then I show where people can browse for channels. The browse for channels usually shows the best and top artist for that subject matter but there are many more to choose from. I then show how to use YouTube search and how that while most of the material may prefill you can add more specific words and YouTube search will do it's best to show relevant material. I then show how YouTube's filter works and how there are many ways that you can filter what you are looking for specifically. I focus and show how it defaults to most relevant but you can also choose from upload date, view count and rating. I then explain that while YouTube does a great job in showing the best material and ranks it near the top that by going to the second, third and other additional search pages you can also find great artists. I give an example of an artist on the third page of the search and show how by clicking the channel link below the title allows you to see the persons whole channel. If you like the channel you see and want to follow by clicking subscribe you will then see it in the channel feed of your homepage immediately. I also show the watch later feature in which by clicking the little clock on the bottom right hand corner it adds it to your watch later section on your homepage if you are interested in watching something in the future but don't have the time now. I then say that that are so many great artist and that the key is to not making hot flashy videos that attract a click but rather quality content. This is done by not making videos to long or to short but rather the right length for the content in the video. Finally YouTube has expanded the amount of time that people can have for a video from 15 minutes. This means your going to start seeing more and more new shows like on By subscribing to the artists you get to follow what they do as they progress and develop. Because YouTube is so personalized it will be the media choice of the new millennium. You will get to see great videos and shows on YouTube every day. And YouTube keeps getting better. Hopefully this helps you get the most out of your YouTube experience. MCITP 70-640: Group Policy Filtering

10:52
Check out http://YouTube.com/ITFreeTraining or http://itfreetraining.com for more of our always free training videos. There are a number of different options in Group Policy that allows you to target Group Policy to particular users and computers. This video looks at WMI filters and security that can be applied to target Group Policy settings that you configure. The video also looks at how you can disable parts of Group Policy to speed up the processing on your clients. Sorting by OU's One way of applying Group Policy is to sort the users and computers into different OU's. A typical way of doing this is to separate the users and computers into physical locations, departments and operating systems. The problem with this approach is that an administrator needs to sort these objects initially and when change occur. For example, if users change job titles and operating systems are upgraded. By using filters in Group Policy you can automate this process. Demonstration All the Group Policy filtering options are available from Group Policy Management Console. Once you select a Group Policy Object you can configure additional filtering options for it. User/Computer Configuring Enabling/Disabling If you select the details tab, the option GPO status allows you to enable or disable the GPO as well as only have the user or computer configuration enabled. If you are only using one part of the configuration for the GPO, it is worth while disabling the other configuration. Disabling configuration like this will speed up the processing of the GPO on the client. Security Filtering On the scope tab you can configure particular groups to be allowed the ability to apply the Group Policy object. Adding groups here effectively changes the permissions of the Group Policy Object giving that group access to apply the Group Policy. The same effect can be achieved by editing the security of the Group Policy Object directly, however Security Filtering does provide an easier interface if all you want to do is see who has the ability to apply the Group Policy or add or remove access. WMI Filter Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) allows software to retrieve information about the client. For example, information about the operating system, hardware and software installed can be retrieved using WMI. Using WMI filters, you can target a Group Policy Object to particular characteristics of a computer. You can only assign one WMI filter per Group Policy Object, however you can make it as complex as you wish. Using WMI filters in your domain especially complex WMI filters this can slow down the time Group Policy takes to apply. To create a WMI query, Select WMI Filters in the left panel of Group Policy Management under your domain and paste in your WMI query. An example of a WMI query is listed below. Select * FROM Win32_OperatingSystem WHERE Caption="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" AND CSDVersion="Service Pack 3" Once you have a WMI query configured, you can assign one WMI filter to the Group Policy Object on the scope tab. A free WMI explorer. http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/wmi/index.htm Delegation The delegation tab effectively shows some of permissions of the Group Policy Object. In order for the Group Policy to be applied to a client it requires read and apply group policy permissions. To gain access the security properties press the advanced button. If you want to prevent the group policy for being applied, select the deny option for apply group policy. Deny permissions should only be applied when necessary. In most cases there is another solution which does not require deny permissions. References "MCTS 70-640 Configuring Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Second Edition" pg 285 -- 291

Quickly Clear Filters in Excel Tables and Pivot Tables

02:41
http://www.contextures.com/Excel-Pivot-Table-Report-Filters.html Visit this page for more information on pivot table filters. If you frequently use filters in Excel, here is a quick way to clear them. Instead of using extra clicks to go to the Data tab, and click the Clear command, add a Clear button to the Quick Access Toolbar. There is a surprising benefit to adding this button -- it also clears all the filters in a pivot table too. Just select a pivot table where one or more filters have been applied, then click the Clear button. All the filters are removed, saving several steps compared to using the Clear Filters command on the Analyze tab on the Ribbon.

DSP: Using an FIR filter to remove 50/60Hz from an ECG (MATLAB/OCTAVE)

06:32
http://biosignals.berndporr.me.uk Here I show how to remove 50/60Hz mains interference from an ECG signal using MATLAB/OCTAVE. First, I create the filter-coefficients with the "fir1" command and then I filter the raw ECG with the "filter" command. The fir1 command is a one stop shop for generating the standard filter responses such as low-, highpass and bandpass and bandstop. Check out its help page. The filter command implements both FIR and IIR filters. Here, we just use its FIR part so that the feedback is just set to 1. Note that in MATLAB you will need to install the signal processing toolbox and under OCTAVE you will need to load it with "pkg load signal".

Using ND Filters to create Motion Blur in Bright Sun - How We Shot It

10:15
For the full article, visit: http://www.slrlounge.com/using-nd-filters-to-create-motion-blur-in-bright-sun-how-we-shot-it In this video, Matthew Saville describes the various methods and options available for creating a slow motion blur during bright sunny conditions. For anyone who knows the "Sunny Sixteen" rule, if your aperture is at f/16 then a perfect exposure at ISO 100 would be 1/100 sec, and a perfect exposure at ISO 400 would be 1/400 sec, and so on. However this image was created at f/13, ISO 100, and 2.0 seconds. To achieve this, it was necessary to use roughly 8 EV's worth of exposure darkening, using filters. To post-produce such a "suburban landscape" image in Bridge CS6, we used presets from the SLR Lounge Preset System which is available for both Bridge CS6 (Adobe Camera Raw), and Adobe Lightroom 4 & 5. Applying Data Filters in NCSS

07:38
In this tutorial we'll explain what filters are and how to create and use them effectively in NCSS. Filters allow you to restrict analyses or graphs to a subset of the data. To illustrate this, we'll use a dataset with columns that contain the age and gender of participants in a study. Suppose we want to create a scatterplot of the data. Without a filter, all records would be included in the plot. A filter would allow us restrict the data so that only participants of a certain gender and age are included in the plot, without deleting the other records from the dataset. Let's begin by creating a scatterplot of Heart Rate vs Age without a filter so we can see what the plot looks like with all the data included. Data labels have been added so we can see what each data point represents. We'll add this plot to the Gallery so that we can compare it to a filtered plot later. To create a filter in NCSS, open the data window and click on the Filter button in the toolbar to load the Filter Editor window. Filters are created using three different types of conditional statements: List Conditions, Range Conditions, and Advanced Conditions. We'll cover all three in this tutorial. A list condition is one in which you specify a list of values to either include or exclude from analyses or graphs. To create a list condition, click New List Condition and then select a column to filter on. In this example we'll choose Gender. A list of unique values from the column is presented in the list. Simply check values from the list to create the condition. We'll select to include only Females. Notice that the filter condition statement is updated automatically as you select values. Use the radio buttons above the list to indicate whether the values you have selected will be kept or excluded. Use the Add Values button to add values to the list that are not in the current dataset. Click OK to apply the filter. Notice that the columns involved in the filter display a filter icon in the column heading and that the rows where gender equals Male are grayed out because they are excluded by the filter. Change the Hide Filtered Rows option to hide and display filtered rows. Toggle Filter Active to deactivate and reactivate the filter. The filter button on the bottom bar indicates that a filter is active and states the filter being used. Let's click the button to add another condition to the filter. A range condition allows us to select records within a certain age range. To add a range condition, click New Range Condition and select the column to filter on. In this example we'll choose Age. The condition can be fully specified using one or two range statements. Use the dropdowns, input boxes, and radio buttons to specify the range. For the range bounds, you can enter a single value, another column, or a function. We'll include only participants whose age is greater than or equal to 30 and less than or equal to 60. Now that we have two filter conditions, we must pay special attention to how the conditions are combined to create the filter. If we select the first combine option, then ALL conditions must be true in order for a row to pass the filter. This is the most restrictive option. In our example this restricts the data so that only females between 30 and 60 years old are included. If we go back and select the second combine option, then records will be included if ANY of the conditions is true. This is less restrictive and excludes fewer rows. In our case, this changes the result so that all females and any males that are in the 30-to-60-year-old age category are included. We'll go back and use the first combine option for this example. We can easily edit the filter conditions without returning to the filter editor window. To do this, click on the Column Info tab and edit the conditions right on the table. Notice that the statements in the table do not include column names, just the list or range of values. We'll change the upper bound on the age range to 50 instead of 60. We can also add new conditions by typing in empty filter cells. Click on the button at the right side of a cell to quickly edit the condition using the editor. To delete a condition, select the condition from the list and click Delete. We can save this filter for future use by selecting File then Save Filter to a File from the menu. NCSS Filter Files are stored with the extension .NCSSFILTER. Since the filter files are stored separately from the dataset, they can be used by any dataset as long as the column names in the filter match the names in the dataset. To load a saved filter, select File then Load a Saved Filter from a File. The third type of filter condition is the Advanced Condition, which gives you complete control over your filter.

Cinemagraph for Nokia Lumia adds filters in update 3.05

02:42
A great app for Nokia Lumia was just updated. Cinemagraph 3.05 is now available at the Windows Phone store. I think it's exclusive to Nokia Lumia devices. This update gives you even more control with options to edit the length, loop type, and speed. There are also filter effects you can add. Cinemagraphs are basically photos with some parts that are moving. You can get really creative with this app. I've included the QR code in the video so you can scan and download directly from your phone. DOWNLOAD: http://goo.gl/sYuX9 BLOG http://thenokiablog.com

bMail - Forward Multiple Messages Using a Filter

05:07
An imperfect solution to -How can I forward a bunch of conversations or messages to somebody, all at once?- The -too long; didn't watch- version is: 1) go to the gear button: settings: Forwarding and POP-IMAP. From there, click -Add a forwarding address- and enter the person's email address. 2) multi-select all the messages, and give them a common label by clicking the Labels button, choosing Create New, and naming the label. 3) in the search box, start typing the label name, and when you see -Label: (label name)- click on that. 4) click the little Advanced Search drop-down arrow, to the right of the search box. In the advanced search window that opens, choose -Create filter with this search- and OK the warning message. 5) check the box for Forward, select the recipient, and for the love of all that's holy, don't forget to check the box at the bottom that says -Also apply filter to n matching conversations-. 6) click Create Filter -- and voila! The conversations are forwarded. 7) optional: if you're never using this filter again, go to the gear button, Settings, Filters, and choose the Delete link to the right of the filter you made.
