In this section we’re going to primarily focus on filtering Pivot Tables and specifically we’re also going to look at the use of Slicers which actually present some particularly straightforward ways of filtering Pivot Tables. Before we do that I’ve got a few things to point out that I haven’t pointed out. So far now that you should have a good handle on the basics of Pivot Tables a few more things to fill in, one of which is that if I want to refresh a Pivot Table you’ve already seen the Refresh option there on the Analyze tab in the Pivot Table Tools. To the right of that there’s a button Change Data Source. And if I click on Change Data Source that takes me to the source of the Pivot Table and allows me to make any updates or changes there. So that can be useful. And the other thing about a Pivot Table, if I make sure that I’ve got the Analyze tab selected, over on the left here you’ve got an Options dropdown. And if I click on Options there are some very useful options within Pivot Table Options. And in particular I’d like to look at Data because one of the options on the Data tab is Refresh data when opening the file. It can very often be useful to have that set, particularly if your Pivot Table depends on data which is being refreshed from outside itself. And particularly if it’s say using a data model that’s subject to updates from data from outside the specific workbook. But it is well worth going through the tabs in the Pivot Table Options. And also on the Analyze tab over on the right you’ve got a Show Group and one of the options there lets you switch on and off the Field List. So that shows or hides the panel that includes the Pivot Table fields and the drop zones. There is also an option here that switches on or off the plus and minus buttons that allow you to expand or collapse the items within the Pivot Table. So if I switch that off, look at the left most column A in the Pivot Table, the plus/minus buttons have gone. And another one that displays the field headers for rows and columns. So particularly if you’re in sort of presentation mode and you want to simplify what’s shown, you don’t need access to these facilities, you’re not actually going to make changes to the Pivot Table say when you’re doing a presentation those can be useful as well. Sorry, we couldn't fit the entire video transcription here since YouTube only allows 5000 characters.

3 Ways to Display (Multiple Items) in a Pivot Table Filter

10:15
In this video we look at 3 ways to list or display the (Multiple Items) that are selected in the Filters area of a pivot table. Download the file to follow along: https://www.excelcampus.com/pivot-tables/display-multiple-items-filter-criteria When we filter for more than one item, the cell that contains the filter drop-down menu displays the phrase (Multiple Items). There is no built-in way to see what items the pivot table is being filtered for unless we open the filter drop-down menu and scroll through the list. However, there are a few simple ways to display this list on the worksheet. We can use a slicer, connected pivot table, or simple formula using TEXTJOIN or CONCATENATE to display the filter list. Each solution is pretty easy to implement. Search Console Helper Features: Keyword Filtering

05:22
Search Console Helper is a PC SEO tool that extends the capability of Google Search Console with more data, advanced filtering options and the ability to keep historical data beyond 90 days. To download a free trial of Search Console Helper, go here: http://searchconsolehelper.com/ Full list of features: http://searchconsolehelper.com/features/ Video transcript: Hi, in this video I will show you how to create and use keyword filters in Search Console Helper. There are 3 ways how to create filters. The easiest one is to use the Search box. When you start typing string of text here, the keywords and pages that match that string of text, will be immediately returned. You can then work with this list of keywords or pages, any way you want. (How? It is explained in our other videos.) This way of filtering is best if you have ad-hoc needs to filter by keyword or page. Another way is to use saved filters. You click the Add button and a dialog box will pop out. You can name your filter whatever you want and here you can add your list of keywords, 1 per line. Another way how to save a list of keywords, is to find them in your data set, select them, right-click on any of them and click Create filter from selected keywords. As you can see, the selected keywords are immediately added to your list and you can then save it. If you click the Excluded check box, when you will be using the filter, you will be returned all keywords except those on this list. If you uncheck it, when using this filter, all keywords that match these, will be returned. So, let's save this... and now we are already using this particular filter. We have 412 results matching any of those keywords. Another way how to create filters, is to use wildcards. So, you can use the star (*) or the question mark (?) for any string of text. So, "registrierkasse" surrounded by stars will return any keyword that contains the "registrierkasse" string of text as part of it. We can save that and see how many results we get. We get 15000 results and you can see that it's also part of keywords such as "registrierkassepflicht" and so on. So, this is the 2nd way to create keyword filters: by saving a keyword list. This is very good for sets of keywords that you are using regularly. For example, you can save a list of your branded keywords. Or, when you check the Excluded box, the same list of branded keywords (excluded), will return the non-branded keywords. The 3rd way to create a filter is by using the Filter function. So, for example, I can right-click on this keyword, select the Filter/unfilter option. What this one does, it will return all rows that match this specific keyword. We have 115 of them in this particlar set of data. And, here is the Edit Filter option, which allows me to add other conditions. So, I can, for example, pre-filter only those results that have Clicks. So, instead of Query I will select Clicks... and Equals becomes Greater than 0. OK. I can further add to this list of conditions and, for example, included only those where the Position is in the Top 3. So, is Less than or euqal to 3. Let's see how many we have. We had 48 rows of data. Now, we have only 4 rows of data. As you can see, you can include as many conditions as you want, for any data you are using, including Google Analytics data. So, this is an extremely powerful way how to further filter your data. This concludes the video on how to create and use keyword filters. We will look forward to seeing you at our next video.

How to Blur Photo Background in Photoshop Like Very Expensive Lens Photography

06:48
In this photo editing tutorial, learn how to add a smooth blur to your photo backgrounds easily in photoshop. Fantasy soft light blurring effect. ►Download PSD file: http://photoshopdesire.com/blur-photo-background-like-costly-lens-photoshop/ ►Download Stock Photo: https://www.flickr.com/photos/psdesire/37569513776/ First open the photo you would like to work on. Now choose select and mask tool. i'm using ps cc 2017 version, if your version doesn't contain select and mask tool then you may use refine edge tool. select view mode to your liking, I’ve already chosen to use On overlay mode. Take Quick Selection Tool. click & drag the area you want to select. The mark you make doesn’t need to be precise, because the Quick Selection tool automatically and instinctively creates a border. Now we will want to have a look at our mask radius, so tick this "Show Radius" checkbox. if you increase the "Radius" value sightly, you will see a outline appearing - that's the edge of our mask. In this case i will set radius at 8px. If your image has both sharp and soft edges, select Smart Radius. Untick show radius option. Now use the "Refine Edge Brush Tool" to refine edges. Brush over soft areas such as hair to add fine details to the selection. When you've completed brushing the edges, take subtract selection tool and delete unnecessary selections. Finally, tick the Decontaminate Colours box to remove any color fringing with the color of fully selected nearby pixels. use the Output Settings. I almost always use New Layer with Layer Mask. Click the OK button, and you’re done. we successfully cut out main subject from its background. To see layer mask itself, hold down Alt/Opt key and click on layer mask thumbnail. If we zoom in, you may notice some areas that needed some touchup. Take soft brush and change brush blending mode to overlay. select black color and paint on areas to clean. Now we need to remove main subject from the background. To do that duplicate background layer CTRL + J Simply select the subject using lasso tool. Now go to edit menu and fill the selection with content aware tool. Deselect the selection CTRL + D. Now we need to add lens blur to the layer. go to filter menu, select lens blur. Add blur radius to your preference. Image looks good enough. But i will add color lookup adjustments to make image more beautiful. i will choose fall colors look to color tone the image. That's it. Gmail Filters and Labels for Organising Gmail and Doing Advanced Gmail Searches

09:31
Here’s a question that we get asked all the time, “How do I use Gmail filters?”. It’s a really powerful tool and once you get the hang of it there is so much you can do with it. Labels are also another feature within Gmail that allows you to store emails within folders. The labels make the appearance of the typical Outlook folder structure. It’s a little bit more flexible and powerful in Google because you can apply an email to multiple labels and give the appearance that it’s in multiple folders. Once you can get the hang of filters and label, you can really do powerful stuff to organize your inbox. Today we are gonna walk you through Gmail filters and all the features you can do in it so you can master them and organize your inbox to start your day. SUBSCRIBE AT http://c2solutions.com.au/subscribe Creating Gmail Filters The idea for creating Gmail filters is that any search item can be considered as a filter. Once you create a search, the down arrow to the right of the search bar will show a drop-down menu for the advanced options for your search. You can provide specific search for the following options. The following search options are the usual ones used. - Email Subject contains certain words (use the syntax "subject:overdue") - Email body Includes the words (just type the word in the search bar for example "invoice") - Email From or To a specific email address (use the syntax "from:[email protected]) - Or just type the email as-is (e.g. "[email protected]" without any to: or from: before it) to search for all email to and from that address. - Email that has an attachment (use the syntax "has:attachment") Putting it all together if you type this into the search field: from:[email protected] invoice subject:overdue has:attachment will find all emails from [email protected] with the word invoice in the email body, with the word overdue in the subject line and that has an attachment For more detailed search syntax that you can use, refer to this documentation from Google. https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7190?hl=en There are a lot of advanced options you can do to search for email using either the provided interface within Gmail or using some of the more advanced search syntax you'll find in the link above. Most Common Options Used in Filters Here are the top things you'll normally search for when creating a filter: - Skip Inbox = Automatically Archive the email - Mark as Read - Apply Labels - Always/Never Mark as Important - Forward important emails - Send Canned Response (requires the Gmail Lab for Canned responses to be activated first) - Apply filter to other matching conversations Where Can I See the Filter I Just Made? Within Gmail, simply go to the Cog (top right) - Settings - Filters and Blocked Addresses. This space will show all of the filters you’ve applied to your inbox. If you need to edit a filter you’ve made before, this is where you can also update the filter. In a nutshell Google filters is a great way to sort your inbox and cut down the noise of incoming emails, allowing you to focus on the top things you need to do for the day and increase your productivity on a daily basis. UniFi Software-Defined Networking Controller & Best Practices

06:00
In this video, we’ll examine management of the UniFi Controller software through a quick analysis of UniFi Device behavior with and without the Controller online, as well as when, where and how to deploy the Controller. We’ll then close by discussing best practices for Controller use. Available for free download, the UniFi Controller server software supports Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, with Mobile app support on iOS & Android. The desktop software package comes bundled with the UniFi Discovery tool for finding & managing UniFi Devices on the Local network via layer-2 broadcast. When installed to a PC, the UniFi Server requires the latest version of Java installed, the Controller Software actually runs over top Apache Tomcat, permitting any network host to access from anywhere via web browser. Although the Controller is required for initial setup, adoption & configuration of UniFi devices, the server need not be running in order for UniFi Devices to move traffic as expected in the Enterprise Network. Specifically, this means that A UniFi Gateway will continue to Route, offer DHCP addresses, and filter according to Firewall rules, Even as Switches supply POE and keep VLAN While APs, continue broadcasting WLANs, band-steer, and apply bandwidth limits. In fact, for fast WLAN deployments, UniFi Access Points can even be configured using Easy Setup Mobile App, a standalone app for iOS and Android Devices. The decision whether to keep the UniFi Controller online & connected to UniFi Devices following initial adoption & configuration, depends primarily on whether the following features are needed: Post-adoption provisioning, that is, device configuration Real-time Device Monitoring User Traffic Statistics Network Insights, like Rogue Access Points and Guest Authorization And, perhaps most importantly, the UniFi Guest Portal & Hotspot system Assuming the UniFi Controller remains online, consider first, whether the Controller will remain in close proximity to the UniFi Devices and users it manages. If the Administrator remains on-site or the sites under management are closely concentrated within a single region, it may be a good idea to keep Local Controllers However, if the customer sites are scattered and lack proper IT personnel, it may be a good idea to keep the Controller off-site or even in the Cloud where an admin can access from anywhere, at any time. Keep in mind that an off-site controller means UniFi Management & Guest Portal Traffic must traverse the WAN, so where Internet bandwidth and uptime connectivity are concerning, Ubiquiti recommends Local Controllers. With proximity in mind, as well as traffic requirements for total number of devices and users on the sites under management, consider the type of Controller server hardware to deploy. In the case of smaller, localized sites, the UniFi-Cloud Key or even a more powerful Linux PC could serve the needs of the customers. Hosted Server Virtualization platforms like UniFi Elite reduce server maintenance requirements, and ensure high reliability & uptime for Enterprise Networks. Although the UniFi Controller itself supports a limitless number of Devices and Users, Controller performance depends on the server hardware and traffic to/from the Controller. In scenarios where the controller is hosted using a third party, and, as the Enterprise Network under management grows from Tens to Hundreds to Thousands of Users, simply locate and restore the Backup UniFi Server file to a more powerful Virtual Server instance. Regardless of Controller Setup, Ubiquiti’s Hybrid Cloud Technology allows Admins to manage multiple UniFi Controllers under a single, common Dashboard, without any license costs. The Dashboard shows the status of each managed Controller, and includes summarized data of each Controller’s Sites, Devices, and Users. Built on the WebRTC protocol, the Hybrid Cloud enables end-to-end connectivity for remote access, even in situations where the WAN IP address is dynamic or when sitting behind a double NAT Firewall. To link a UniFi Controller to the Hybrid Cloud Dashboard, enter the SSO Ubiquiti Account of the Admin under the Cloud Access tab inside the Controller settings. Among the most important, recommended practices for UniFi Controller management, consider the following: To skip server setup & maintenance altogether, opt for the UniFi Elite Cloud platform, which grants Admins additional support, extended warranties, resilient storage, auto-backup redundancy, and other important Enterprise features.

Adding Date and Control Filters in Data Studio

05:57
Excerpted from the CIFL course on building dashboards with Google Sheets and Data Studio: https://learn.codingisforlosers.com/data-studio-the-lazy-way Setting up a date or control filter is simple - just select them from the right side of the main menu, and drag one onto your dashboard. For date filters, you select a default date range (last 2 weeks, for example). And date filters will apply to all reports on a page by default, so no additional setup is required. For control filters, you select a data source and dimension that you'd like to filter by. Then, to apply the filter to a specific chart, you 'group' them together (accessible from the right-click menu). Note: control filters only work if they're *on the same data source* as the chart they're filtering for.
