A Career in Gold Mining (JTJS52010)

08:00
It's an exciting prospect to go underground, extract rock and process it until you are left with a solid bar of gold but that's exactly what Caleb Lese from Dunedin will find out all about when he heads to Macraes mine in Otago. Heading underground he learns that the 12 hour shifts begin and end with a blast and that the multi-million dollar subterranean digging machines are one of the main tools used by the mine. While these 'bogger' machines can be used by an operator, they can also be operated remotely when the area being worked on is unsupported. Caleb is keen to see if operating a bogger remotely is as easy as it looks but soon learns it might take a little more training to become proficient! At the processing plant, Caleb finds out more about how the gold is extracted from the sulphur rock and how from the plant processing control room around 95 per cent of the plant can be managed. Then it's off to see if there is any gold at the end of the rainbow and to his surprise, the $800,000 bar of gold he holds is much heavier than he expected! There are a wide range of roles within the gold mining industry and much of the training can be done on the job. For Caleb, it is certainly something to think about for his future. Find out more about this, and a huge variety of other careers, at http://www.justthejob.co.nz

12 Most Dangerous Jobs That Pay Well

11:22
What's the most dangerous job in the world? Worried that you’re gonna have to settle for some boring mundane job to earn a decent living? Maybe you’d rather do work that was exciting and varied? But if you're looking for a more adventurous job, you should think twice. Some of such jobs might sound romantic and exciting, but "dangerous" describes them best. Well, if you’re still interested, here are some dangerous but well-paying to choose from! TIMESTAMPS: Underwater welders 0:54 Firefighters 1:49 Stunt Performers 2:45 Construction Supervisor 3:36 Mining Machine Operator 4:19 Registered Nurses 5:13 Electrical Power Line Installation and Repair 6:05 Aircraft Pilots 6:54 Astronauts 7:42 Paramedics 8:44 Police Officer 9:22 Crab Fisherman 10:14 #dangerousjobs #wellpayingjobs #risklovers Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Underwater welders often have to cope with freezing cold temperatures, near-zero visibility, and strong wave currents. Plus, the risk of drowning is very real. - The average firefighter annual salary is about $46,870. While that may not seem like a lot considering the terrible dangers they face on the job. - How’s $150,000 for jumping off the CN Tower to open the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, Canada for ya? That’s $15,000 per second in case you were wondering. - Construction sites are inherently dangerous places. That fairly small extra risk, however, brings with it almost double the pay: $62,980 per year on average for supervisors, versus $33,430 for general laborers. - If dark places and tight spaces don’t freak you out, you can become a mining roof bolter. At the top end of the mining machine operator pay scale, they make an average of $54,320 per year to operate the machinery that helps prop up underground mines. - Registered nurse practitioners earn an average of $68,450 annually. Those who have qualifications and experience to manage and lead staff can climb into the $100,000 club as well. - Are you afraid of heights? No? Then perhaps you’d consider becoming an electrical power line technician? The average salary earned by these folks in 2017 was $69,380. - The average annual salary for airline and commercial pilots is $130,059 according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. - Civilian astronauts can expect to start around $66,000, while the experienced veterans can bring home over $144,000. - If you can’t decide whether to give firefighting or nursing a try, you might wanna consider becoming a paramedic. They often work alongside firefighters, facing the same perils. - In reality, the day-to-day life of a police officer probably isn’t as dramatic as they depict it on TV, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t really dangerous! $59,680 was the average annual salary in 2016. - According to the Alaska Fishing Employment center, crewmen can bring home between $20,000 - 50,000 during a three-month season. Those surveyed by CNN in 2012 said they made about $100,000 a year! Kennecott Copper Concentration Mill, Alaska

08:45
A brief history of the McCarthy & Kennicott area The year was 1900. Jack Smith and Clarence Warner, two prospectors, spotted a large green spot on the mountainside between the Kennicott Glacier and McCarthy Creek. What looked like a patch of green grass turned out to be one of the richest deposits of copper ore ever found! Stephen Birch, a young mining engineer looking for Alaskan claims in 1901, was approached by Smith to make an inspection of his findings. Eventually, Birch got the backing of men such as the Guggenheim brothers and J.P. Morgan who bought the existing claims. In 1906 Kennecott Mines Company was formed, which later became Kennecott Copper Corporation. The next hurdle was to transport the copper ore from the mines to the coastal town of Cordova, where it would be shipped to Tacoma, Washington, by the Alaska Steamship Company for smelting. Michael J. Heney, a master railroad builder, was called upon to oversee the construction of the Copper River Northwestern Railway. Construction began the spring of 1908 at Cordova and stretched 196 miles to the Kennecott mines.

Interesting Underground Gold Mine Stuffed With Quartz

27:30
This gold mine is one of those abandoned mines that didn’t look like much at first, but ended up being really interesting… Aside from the complexity of the underground workings we explored, we just kept finding stuff. Well, more accurately, I should say that my exploring buddy kept finding stuff. While I was inside the first adit looking around, Mr. McBride, discovered the lower adit and the buildings above the mine workings. Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about the history of this mine. As with many things, California is behind other states in digitizing the records in their archives. By contrast, Nevada is fantastic in this respect. The Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology and the University of Nevada in Reno have done a really impressive job of digitizing and organizing their records online. So, for example, if you have the name of a mine, you can look through their database and find extensive records and maps for the mine you’re curious about. Obviously, not every historic mine is included in their database, but most are. Even without knowing the history though, it is apparent that this mine is an older mine that was worked off and on for quite a while. It also doesn’t seem to be a big stretch to assume that a respectable amount of gold was extracted. I’m basing that on the size of the workings and how the miners burrowed off in all directions from that quartz core where the pit was. They even went down and ran another adit in... Actually, as I was typing that, I realized that it may have been the other way around. If you’ll recall, the track in the lower adit was the “budget rail” where the miners nailed the metal strips onto boards to run the ore carts over. Since the track in the first adit I entered was solid metal rail, it would suggest the possibility that the miners may have done well enough in the lower adit to afford to splash out on expensive rail when driving a second adit above. In other words, the lower adit may have been the first adit. The mine buildings just above the underground workings were interesting to us given their age. The main building looked just large enough to accommodate a crew of approximately the size of the number of names on the board where the miners would badge in and badge out. It’s possible a mining crew could have worked this operation in the winter, but given its remote location, fairly poor dirt roads and heavy snowfall in the winter, it seems more likely this was a summer mining operation. Was that a grave at the end? What do you guys think that was? ***** All of these videos are uploaded in HD, so adjust those settings to ramp up the quality! It really does make a difference. You can see the gear that I use for mine exploring here: https://bit.ly/2wqcBDD You can click here for my full playlist of abandoned mines: https://goo.gl/TEKq9L Thanks for watching! ***** Growing up in California’s “Gold Rush Country” made it easy to take all of the history around us for granted. However, abandoned mine sites have a lot working against them – nature, vandals, scrappers and various government agencies… The old prospectors and miners that used to roam our lonely mountains and toil away deep underground are disappearing quickly as well. These losses finally caught our attention and we felt compelled to make an effort to document as many of the ghost towns and abandoned mines that we could before that colorful niche of our history is gone forever. But, you know what? We enjoy doing it! This is exploring history firsthand – bushwhacking down steep canyons and over rough mountains, figuring out the techniques the miners used and the equipment they worked with, seeing the innovations they came up with, discovering lost mines that no one has been in for a century, wandering through ghost towns where the only sound is the wind... These journeys allow a feeling of connection to a time when the world was a very different place. And I’d love to think that in some small way we are paying tribute to those hardy miners that worked these mines before we were even born. So, yes, in short, we are adit addicts… I hope you’ll join us on these adventures! #ExploringAbandonedMines #MineExploring #AbandonedMines #UndergroundMineExploring

Opportunity Alaska: International Tower Hill Mines (THM) Could Provide Jobs For A Generation

10:21
http://goldstocktrades.com/blog International Tower Hill Mines (THM) is one of the stocks held by the Texas Retirement System who I mentioned above is looking to diversify and protect their assets by investing in precious metals and quality gold mining equities. The institution owns over 2 million shares. In addition, Tower Hill has an attractive roster of some of the smartest shareholders in the business including Anglogold Ashanti, Paulsen and Tocqueville Gold. I recently spoke with Tom Irwin who was General/Startup Manager for the world class Fort Knox Mine now operated successfully by major Kinross Gold. Tom is an expert in cold weather mining engineering and design. Fort Knox is located close to Tower Hill's Livengood Project near Fairbanks, Alaska. Tom was also commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources for Alaska, which is in charge of permitting. Tom has come out of retirement to work as Vice President of Tower Hill and is leading the work on the Bankable Feasibility Study. He has a great wealth of knowledge in permitting and engineering especially in Alaska. I recently heard Tom talk at PDAC at the "Opportunity Alaska" symposium. I have believed for some time that great wealth will be made in Alaska in the next metals boom. Alaska has some of the greatest mines in the world and Tower Hill's Livengood may be the next major gold mine in Alaska. The 20 million+ gold ounce Livengood Deposit is located in a mining designated area, off a paved-all season highway and most important a local and well trained labor force. Disclosure: Author is long Tower Hill and the company is a sponsor on my website.

Ok, now, gather around, because I’m about to tell you something. The rest of you can just enjoy this experience, because there is nothing I can tell you to make you even more interested. It’s just a “dream come true” for all of us, right? Gold Rush allows you to discover the tough experience of gold mining. You start with just a few bucks, but with passing days, you become the wealthiest man in Alaska. We created a big, detailed world with four unique gold mining claims. On each, you will find a fully deformable terrain. Each fragment of our world has its own background story you can discover in spare time. Our main goal was to create a high-fidelity simulation. You will spend a lot of time in the excavator, as it is the main gold mining tool, so with that in mind, we spend the majority of our time giving you the best possible experience. There is no campaign in our game. Instead, we decided, after a long tutorial, you will go into Sandbox mode, where you will not be constrained by anything. Remember, nobody can work all day, all night. Even if you’d like to, the hard work of gold miners is often hampered by the force of nature. Port Mackenzie Rail Extension

09:59
The Port MacKenzie Rail Extension will connect the mainline of the Alaska Railroad to tidewater at Port MacKenzie. New mines will be stimulated along the route to Fairbanks. Mineral production is projected to reach $1 billion per year. A 1.6 billion ton limestone deposit near Livengood could mean that Alaska exports cement. Some 2,000 construction jobs will be created and some 3,000 mining and spinoff jobs per year will be created. Alaska will gain tremendously with this infrastructure.

The Longest Tunnel in The World

43:20
The Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT) is a railway tunnel through the Alps in Switzerland. It opened on 1 June 2016, and full service began on 11 December 2016. With a route length of 57 km (35.4 mi) and a total of 151.84 km (94.3 mi) of tunnels, shafts and passages, it is the world's longest rail tunnel, surpassing the Seikan Tunnel in Japan. Its main purpose is to increase total transport capacity across the Alps, especially for freight, notably between Germany and Italy, and more particularly to shift freight volumes from road to rail to reduce environmental damage caused by ever-increasing numbers of heavy lorries. A secondary benefit will be to cut the journey time for passenger trains from Zürich to Milan by about an hour and from Zürich to Lugano to 1-hour 40 minutes. The project consists of two single-track tunnels. It is part of the AlpTransit project, also known as the New Railway Link through the Alps (NRLA), which includes the Lötschberg Base Tunnel between the cantons of Bern and Valais and the under construction Ceneri Base Tunnel (scheduled to open late 2019) to the south. It bypasses the Gotthardbahn, a winding mountain route opened in 1882 across the Saint-Gotthard Massif, which is now operating at capacity, and establishes a direct route usable by high-speed rail and heavy freight trains. The total cost of the project is 9.8 billion Swiss francs, or US$10.3 billion. When completed, the Gotthard Base Tunnel will be one of the longest tunnel construction projects in the world: 20 years of constant construction and preparation. Big, Bigger, BIGGEST! 3 MASSIVE MACHINES that move! (World’s biggest / largest ever built!)

05:14
Big, Bigger, BIGGEST! 3 MASSIVE MACHINES that move (and work!) (World’s biggest / largest ever built!) NASA CRAWLER-TRANSPORTERS: The NASA crawler-transporters are the largest land transport vehicles in the world. Each crawler weighs about 2.7 million kilograms or about 6 million pounds. They are 40 meters or 131 feet long and 35 meters or 114 feet wide. Built in 1965 at a cost of 14 million US dollars each, the 2 crawler-transporters are actually nicknamed “Hans” and “Franz”. And what absolutely magnificent works of design and engineering they both are – these massive machines and their combined 8 thousand horse power engines have smoothly and faithfully carried all the Saturn V rockets and all the Space Shuttles the 5 mile journey from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the Launch Pad. And in fact between the 2 of them they have travelled more than 3,400 miles in total, that’s about the distance from Miami to Seattle. BERTHA: Big Bertha is the world’s largest tunnel boring machine… and here she is in 41 pieces leaving Osaka Bay Japan on route to the United States of America. The 80 million dollar 57.5 foot diameter Bertha was designed specifically for the SR99 Tunnel Project commissioned by the Washington State Department of Transportation. Named after Seattle’s only Female Mayor, Bertha Knight Landes, the massive machine Bertha is 326 feet long and weighs 7,000 tons or 14 million pounds. And as she winds her way under Seattle, Bertha will chew through approximately 35 feet of rock and soil each day. She will also, using her giant pair of arms, automatically erect and seal thousands of concrete panels as she goes. She is simply incredible, and is surely one of the greatest machines ever devised. BAGGER 293: Bagger 293 is the biggest terrestrial vehicle of all time (and the biggest mining machine ever). Built in 1995 by the German industrial company TAKRAF, Bagger 293 is a giant bucket wheel excavator that currently works in a brown coal mine near Hambach in western Germany. At 738 feet long and towering 315 feet high, this gigantic contraption weighs 14,200 tonnes or about 31 million pounds. Powered by enough electricity to sustain a medium sized town, each of Bagger 293s 20 buckets can hold about 80 bathtubs worth of dirt, meaning it can move about 8.5 million cubic feet of earth per day. … to put that in perspective, that’s the equivalent of digging a really, really big hole…. and to be more precise… that’s about the size of digging a football field 30 meters or about 100 feet deep, in a single day. If you want buy one of these monstrous mechanical marvels, you’ll need at least 100 million US dollars and a crew of 5 to drive it… but you won’t have to worry about speeding tickets, as this Big Bopper has a top speed of only 0.9 kilometres per hour.

Coal Mining Documentary - The Most Dangerous Job On Earth - Classic History

42:27
Coal Mining Documentary - The Most Dangerous Job On Earth - Classic History Coal mining is the process of extracting coal from the ground. Coal is valued for its energy content, and, since the 1880s, has been widely used to generate electricity. Steel and cement industries use coal as a fuel for extraction of iron from iron ore and for cement production. In the United Kingdom and South Africa a coal mine and its structures are a colliery, a coal mine a pit, and the above-ground structures the pit head. In Australia, "colliery" generally refers to an underground coal mine. In the United States "colliery" has been used to describe a coal mine operation but nowadays the word is not commonly used. Coal mining has had many developments over the recent years, from the early days of men tunnelling, digging and manually extracting the coal on carts, to large open cut and long wall mines. Mining at this scale requires the use of draglines, trucks, conveyors, hydraulic jacks and shearers. Small-scale mining of surface deposits dates back thousands of years. For example, in Roman Britain, the Romans were exploiting most of the major coalfields by the late 2nd century AD. Read More: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coal_mining

Trans-Alaska Pipeline System: Journey to Prudhoe circa 1975 US Coast Guard-ARCO

24:15
more at http://news.quickfound.net/cities/fairbanks.html "This documentary film depicts the marine journey to Prudhoe Bay from the loading of cargo at Seattle and Tacoma Washington, through the ice and other hazards of Prudhoe Bay." Public domain film from the Prelinger Archives, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and mild video noise reduction applied. The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prudhoe_Bay,_Alaska Prudhoe Bay is... located in North Slope Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. As of the 2010 census, the population of the CDP was 2,174 people; however, at any given time several thousand transient workers support the Prudhoe Bay oil field. The airport, lodging, and general store are located at Deadhorse; the rigs and processing facilities are located on scattered gravel pads laid atop the tundra... Prudhoe Bay is the unofficial northern terminus of the Pan-American Highway. The Bay itself is still 10 miles further North beyond a security checkpoint, so open water is not visible from the Highway... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Alaska_Pipeline_System The Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) includes the trans-Alaska crude-oil pipeline, 12 pump stations, several hundred miles of feeder pipelines, and the Valdez Marine Terminal. TAPS is one of the world's largest pipeline systems. It is commonly called the Alaska pipeline, trans-Alaska pipeline, or Alyeska pipeline... but those terms technically apply only to the 800 miles (1,287 km) of the pipeline with the diameter of 48 inches (122 cm) that conveys oil from Prudhoe Bay, to Valdez, Alaska... The pipeline was built between 1974 and 1977 after the 1973 oil crisis caused a sharp rise in oil prices in the United States. This rise made exploration of the Prudhoe Bay oil field economically feasible. Environmental, legal, and political debates followed the discovery of oil at Prudhoe Bay in 1968... The task of building the pipeline had to address a wide range of difficulties, stemming mainly from the extreme cold and the difficult, isolated terrain. The construction of the pipeline was one of the first large-scale projects to deal with problems caused by permafrost, and special construction techniques had to be developed to cope with the frozen ground. The project attracted tens of thousands of workers to Alaska, causing a boomtown atmosphere in Valdez, Fairbanks, and Anchorage. The first barrel of oil traveled through the pipeline in 1977, and full-scale production began by the end of the year. Several notable incidents of oil leakage have occurred since, including those caused by sabotage, maintenance failures, and gunshot holes. As of 2010, the pipeline has shipped almost 16 billion barrels (2.5×109 m3) of oil... Starting in 1944, the U.S. Navy funded oil exploration near Umiat Mountain, on the Colville River in the foothills of the Brooks Range. Surveyors from the U.S. Geological Survey spread across the petroleum reserve and worked to determine its extent until 1953, when the Navy suspended funding for the project... Four years after the Navy suspended its survey, Richfield Oil Corporation (later Atlantic Richfield and ARCO) drilled an enormously successful oil well near the Swanson River in southern Alaska, near Kenai. The resulting Swanson River Oil Field was Alaska's first major commercially producing oil field, and it spurred the exploration and development of many others. By 1965, five oil and 11 natural gas fields had been developed... In 1967, Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) began detailed survey work in the Prudhoe Bay area. By January 1968, reports began circulating that natural gas had been discovered by a discovery well. On March 12, 1968, an Atlantic Richfield drilling crew hit paydirt. A discovery well began flowing at the rate of 1,152 barrels (183.2 m3) of oil per day. On June 25, ARCO announced that a second discovery well likewise was producing oil at a similar rate. Together, the two wells confirmed the existence of the Prudhoe Bay Oil Field. The new field contained more than 25 billion barrels (4.0×109 m3) of oil, making it the largest in North America and the 18th largest in the world. The problem soon became how to develop the oil field and ship product to U.S. markets. Pipeline systems represent a high initial cost but lower operating costs, but no pipeline of the length needed had yet been constructed. Several other solutions were offered. Boeing proposed a series of 12-engine tanker aircraft to transport oil from the field, the Boeing RC-1. General Dynamics proposed a line of tanker submarines for travel beneath the Arctic ice cap...

ROKSTAD POWER | ERICKSON INC. Brucejack Transmission Powerline Project TRAILER

01:34
On 29 September @ 12:50, Bubba placed the final bridge to complete the 35-mile (56-kilometer) 138-kV transmission line to support the Brucejack Gold Project led by Rokstad Power. Structure 6013 weighing a total of 282,200 lbs. (128,457 kg) is one the highest transmission towers in Canada standing at 145 ft (44 m) and an altitude of around 6,000 ft. ASL. It combines a total of 31 pieces with a total of 23 picks with the S-64F Air-Crane (25,000lb max capacity) and 4 picks with the Bell 214B-1. Structure 6016 spans across the Knipple Glacier to 6017 making it the tightest wire and longest span in North America with a length of 1.4 miles (2.2-km) with the glacier sitting about 2,000 feet below. At 05:30 Thursday morning, the Aurora Borealis passed through over Power Camp. At 09:56, Bubba set its last 132nd single steel monopole tower just below the Knipple Glacier. The Brucejack Gold Mine is located just North of Stewart, British Columbia and just 25 miles from the Alaskan border. Pretium Resources Inc. plans to start commercial production in 2017 with an estimated 6.9 million ounces of gold and an anticipated 18-year lifespan. The company believes the mine will produce at least US$2.36 billion of gold. In the six-month construction window for this project, about 20 million pounds of concrete and 5.3 million pounds of steel were moved requiring 391 tower picks from the S-64F & S-64E Air-Crane. The completion of this project wouldn’t be possible without a team effort from Surveyors, Engineers, Geologists, Blast crews, foundations to include the rebar benders, truck drivers, drillers, all the many support helicopter crews, the amazing staff of cooks at camp, housing staff, maintenance personal, security, and all those crazy lineman crawling around up on the towers, and many others not mentioned. It has truly been a privilege for us all working in these remote areas of Northern British Columbia.

New TIER 3 MINING AREA + DUMP TRUCK and CONVEYOR BELT UPDATE! - Gold Rush Full Release Gameplay Subscribe if you like! + http://bit.ly/1PG8z9G An update just brought not only the new dump truck, but also a conveyor belt as well! The only issue is they both cost a huge amount of money to buy. Luckily we've been making decent money with both the sale of magnetite and the use of our employees (before they got nerfed) so we have SOME money, but not enough to buy everything. We're setting up a tier 3 shop over in River Town, one of the other parcels and it'll be time to make the best use we can so that we can afford the conveyor belt, and then the dump truck from there! Ok, now, gather around, because I’m about to tell you something. The rest of you can just enjoy this experience, because there is nothing I can tell you to make you even more interested. It’s just a “dream come true” for all of us, right? Gold Rush allows you to discover the tough experience of gold mining. You start with just an excavator, but with passing seasons, you become the wealthiest man in Alaska. Difficult weather conditions can easily spoil the machines and stop the extraction for a long time, not to mention the winter, when you can’t dig at all. ---------------------------------- End Card by Exandria: https://www.youtube.com/user/sora12428719 Hello everybody, I'm Gray! Most Amazing Open-pit Mines in The World (diamonds, gold, silver, copper...) [igeoNews]

03:44
Contribute to the Project: http://igeo.tv/contribuye-al-proyecto/ The Bingham Canyon Mine, also known as the Kennecott Copper Mine, is an open-pit mining operation extracting a large porphyry copper deposit southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, in the Oquirrh Mountains. The mine is owned by Rio Tinto Group, an international mining and exploration company headquartered in the United Kingdom. The copper operations at Bingham Canyon Mine are managed through Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation which operates the mine, a concentrator plant, a smelter, and a refinery. The mine has been in production since 1906, and has resulted in the creation of a pit over 0.6 miles (0.97 km) deep, 2.5 miles (4 km) wide, and covering 1,900 acres (770 ha). It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966 under the name Bingham Canyon Open Pit Copper Mine. The mine experienced a massive landslide in April of 2013 and a smaller slide in September of 2013. Udachnaya was discovered on June 15, 1955, just two days after the discovery of the diamond pipe Mir by Soviet geologist Vladimir Shchukin and his team. It is more than 600 metres (1,970 ft) deep, making it the third deepest open-pit mine in the world (after Bingham Canyon Mine and Chuquicamata). The nearby settlement of Udachny is named for the deposit. As of 2010, Udachnaya pipe is controlled by Russian diamond company Alrosa, which planned to halt open-pit mining in favor of underground mining in 2010. The mine has estimated reserves of 225.8 million carats of diamonds and an annual production capacity of 10.4 million carats Chuquicamata, or "Chuqui" as it is more familiarly known, is by excavated volume the biggest open pit copper mine in the world, located in the north of Chile, just outside of Calama, 215 km northeast of Antofagasta and 1,240 km north of the capital, Santiago. The mine is owned and operated by Codelco, a Chilean state enterprise, since the Chilean nationalization of copper in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Its depth of 850 metres (2,790 ft) makes it the second deepest open-pit mine in the world (after Bingham Canyon Mine in Utah, USA). The Diavik Diamond Mine is a diamond mine in the North Slave Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada, about 300 kilometres (190 mi) north of Yellowknife. It has become an important part of the regional economy, employing 700, grossing C$100 million in sales, and producing approximately 7.5 million carats (1,500 kg (3,300 lb)) of diamonds annually.[2] The area was surveyed in 1992 and construction began in 2001, with production commencing in January 2003. It is connected by an ice road and Diavik Airport with a 5,235 ft (1,596 m) gravel runway regularly accommodating Boeing 737 jet aircraft. The Grasberg Mine is the largest gold mine and the third largest copper mine in the world. It is located in the province of Papua in Indonesia near Puncak Jaya, the highest mountain in Papua, and it has 19,500 employees. It is majority owned through a subsidiary by Freeport-McMoRan, which owns 90.64% of PT Freeport Indonesia, the principal operating subsidiary in Indonesia, including 9.36% owned through its wholly owned subsidiary, PT Indocopper Investama. The Government of Indonesia owns the remaining 9.36% of PT Freeport Indonesia. FCX operates under an agreement with the Government of Indonesia, which allows Freeport to conduct exploration, mining and production activities in a 24,700-acre area (Block A). It also conducts exploration activities in an approximate 500,000-acre area (Block B). All of Freeport's proven and probable mineral reserves and current mining operations are located in Block A. The 2006 production was 610,800 tonnes of copper; 58,474,392 grams of gold; and 174,458,971 grams of silver. How do you get the game? You can buy Farming Simulator 2017 here (only for PC)- http://store.steampowered.com/app/447020/ 2. Can you get mods for Xbox One or PS4 (talking about FS17 not FS15)? Yes, I think you can get mods. I think you are only limited to the ones of Giants (Creator of the game) website though 3. Where do you get your mods? Most of my mods come from this website- http://www.farming2017mod.com/ Sometimes I get them from other YouTubers it just all depends on. Most of the time the link to the mods I used in that video will be in the description unless they are private 4. Why is it called the Squad if it is only one person? This channel started out as a couple of people as it moved to Farming simulator it just ended up being me (Grant). I now have my brother (Spencer) in some videos too so I thought I would keep the name "The Squad". 5. Can I play with you? I would love to play with you guys. I have a server that I play on about once a week. To get more info on the server you can look above in the description here and there should be links to videos showing how to join.

LARGEST GOLD NUGGET FOUND! WE BUY OUR MOBILE WASH PLANT + EXCAVATOR- Gold Rush Full Release Gameplay Subscribe if you like! + http://bit.ly/1PG8z9G I lost an hour of footage and felt sad, but then we found the largest gold nugget our parcel renter has seen in decades and that fixed everything! With this massive find, we're able to fund the next level of gold mining, by buying a mobile wash plant as well as a small excavator. The hog pan pump system has served us well, but now it's time to really let the stacks start rolling in as we stop shoveling and start REALLY moving some dirt! Difficult weather conditions can easily spoil the machines and stop the extraction for a long time, not to mention the winter, when you can’t dig at all. ---------------------------------- Background Music by Teknoaxe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vr8DCdaJD30 End Card by Exandria: https://www.youtube.com/user/sora12428719 Hello everybody, I'm Gray! Usibelli Coal Mine: World Coal

00:31
"Most of the coal we mine at Usibelli, is used here in Alaska. But not all of it. Every year we ship thousands of tons of Alaska coal to Asia and South America. They buy it from Alaska because we have some of the cleanest-burning coal in the world. It helps them lower their emissions, and creates good-paying jobs here in Alaska. So if the world is coming to Alaska for coal, we shouldn't hesitate to use more of it here at home."

NIGHT TIME STORM GOLD MINING! GETTING A MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY! - Gold Rush Full Release Gameplay Subscribe if you like! + http://bit.ly/1PG8z9G It was said that real gold miners mine in the rain or shine, day or night, so today not only are we going to be mining at night, but we're mining at night in a storm. Will the stormy weather provide for us a better haul as we head toward becoming a million dollar company? Look for that dump truck coming up too, we'll need to buy that, the bulldozer and of course the tier 3 mining stuff to have everything in the game at the moment.
