How To Identify Your Target Audience
How To Identify Your Target Audience http://www.drostdesigns.com/target-audience The more you know about your target audience the easier it is to sell products or services to them. Sending large amounts of traffic to an untargeted audience is like throwing mud at a wall hoping that it will stick. You can easily waste lots of time and money driving traffic to your website resulting in little or no sales. You need to zero in on the wants, needs and desires of your audience if you want to improve sales. Here are 7 ways to identify your target audience 1. Meet with your customer Having a live conversation with one of your potential customers will help get to know him or her better than if you just relied on electronic communication. Picture the person in your mind next time you need to create new content. 2. Find out where they spend most of their time online These may include Forums, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ or any other social media accounts they may use for their communication. Interact with your audience on these accounts by asking and answering questions. 3. Read trade publications Read magazines, books and newspapers related to your niche. There's a high probability that your customers are reading some of these publications. 4. Survey your audience Survey your customers by using a free online service such as SurveyMonkey.com. Survey your newsletter subscribers or add an online survey to your blog. Use multiple choice questions to make it easy for them to reply. Provide an incentive for them to participate by offering a free report. Patreon :: https://patreon.com/nickexposed NYC Meetup :: http://bit.ly/2HWmNvs Previous Episode :: https://youtu.be/D9VIKa3wAl0 In todays Two Minute Tuesday, we continue our discussion on selling our fine art prints, zines and artistic and photography services with finding your target audience or market. As photographers, we hope that everyone would like and ultimately purchase our artwork. But the reality is, it's not going to be for everyone. I've heard from far to many artists that they are discouraged because their prints or zines aren't selling. Often times its because they haven't been able to target their ideal customer, or avatar, and in turn are marketing and trying to sell to the wrong audience. After watching this video, sit down with pen and paper, and begin mapping out your customer profile. Who do you think would be best suited for connecting with your artwork? How would they want to view and purchase your artwork? What's the best way to put your work in front of them? What's the best pricing structure to use when selling your work to them? Who are their friends, and would they be interested in your work as well? What's the emotional response that is going to lead them to make the purchase? Im curious to hear what you guys think of this one. Lets get the conversation rolling in the comments down below. You can join us live Today at 5PM EST On YouTube Live. How To Identify Your Target Audience On YouTube
How do you know if your content is hitting the bulls eye of your target audience? It's easy to waste countless hours creating content no one wants to watch. Clearly defining your audience makes all the difference when you’re creating content for your videos. One of the biggest mistakes people make is trying to appeal to everyone. This is similar to throwing mud at a mud at a wall hoping some of it will stick. For example you would use different bait for a catfish than for a whale. The more you know about your target audience the easier it is to sell products or services to them. The 4-Part System to Define and Attract Your Target Audience (Part 1: IDENTIFY)
http://www.yourwriterplatform.com When defining your target audience, the first question you need to ask yourself is this: "Who do you want sitting in the seats?" Who do you want reading your work, sharing your ideas and contributing to your community? The audience you develop should be exclusive – it should be made up of only those individuals whose desires, values and interests align with the creative work that you offer. And since these are the people you will be spending a majority of your professional time with (through your blog, social media, email, conferences, speaking engagements and so on), it's prudent to carefully choose those people who will not only be the most supportive, but motivate and inspire you to grow as a writer. But there is more to defining your target audience than simply picking the people you'd like to spend time with. An empirical understanding of your ideal readership usually beats gut instinct, so you need to move past your own assumptions about who your "right" audience may be, and develop a refined and targeted demographic. By drafting a detailed ideal reader persona, you establish a framework and a way to focus your efforts for reaching and connecting with your "people" – those who'll benefit most from your work. [Get the free downloadable worksheet on the blog post, here: http://www.yourwriterplatform.com/define-and-attract-your-target-audience-1/ Knowing exactly who it is that you are trying to reach is a critical first step to not only what you create, but eventually how you choose to share it. This is part 1 in a 4-part series on defining and attracting your target audience.

Finding Your Target Audience
What's up guys! This week we do market research. Finding target audience is hard - therefore we need all the help we can get! Most people only do market research online on Facebook or other social media websites. We wanted to do something which has a real human to human connect. Therefore, we decided to just go out the world and ask what people think. We borrowed a iPad and made a powerpoint which included all the designs. We would love feedback on our designs - so please comment below if and why you like/don't like them. If you like our designs - It would also really help to know your age and gender so we know who our potential customers are. If you don’t like our designs - please give constructive feedback, we’re always trying to improve. See you next week! Music by : soundcloud.com/jeff-kaale
The Secret Sauce to *Finding Target Audiences*
Masterand.partnerwithmnm.com The Secret Sauce to Finding Your Target Audience If you ever wondered how to find highly targeted people for your Facebook ad, this is the video to watch. I learned this trick a few months ago and thought I would share it with you today. Unfortunately people who advertise on Facebook advertise to people who are not interested in their product or opportunity, and therefore, they are wasting tons of money. Using this strategy will save your money and your time. A little insight goes a long way. If you already have an ads account for Facebook, go to the down arrow and choose manage ads. If you do not have an ads account yet, choose create ads and set it up now. Under tools, select audience insights. This tool will enable you to choose practically anything to find people in your niche. The first thing you should do is choose an interest related to your niche. In this training video I used magazines as an example. Which magazine do you think people in your niche would read? In this example I used Entrepreneur Magazine. You can see the demographics of people who like Entrepreneur Magazine. Once you choose the gender and age of the people you want to target, click on page likes. Down at the bottom of the page likes you see a column named Affinity. Affinity means that of the people who like Entrepreneur Magazine, 8 times of them are likely to like SUCCESS Magazine. Continue on this path with as many interests as you'd like to narrow down your target market. You can also choose education level, household income, home value, purchase habits, etcetera. How to Identify your Target Audiences
To fully understand your buyers and influencers, identifying your target audience is essential. Lee Frederiksen covers 4 ways to identify your target audiences for a focused and efficient marketing strategy. Now, we all know that target audiences are important but sometimes you're not clear about who should be in your target audience. Well, the first group that should be in your target audience, of course, are your target clients. And think about what are the types of clients that I want more of, what are my best clients who I can do the best job with those? Not that you could conceivably help anybody, but who's the best fit with it? The second area to look for identifying your target audience is your influencers. These are people that are turned to by your target client group to get advice. They may be internal people on the staff or they could be outside influencers or referral sources. So think about those second. A third area to look for your target audience is in business partners. And by business partners, I mean firms that you might either work with on a project or you might market together and do some marketing partnerships. By identifying those as a target audience, it'll help you understand who are the best ones to partner with and what do they need to hear about our firm. Finally, consider potential employees because that's a big driver for a lot of firms in terms of their ability to grow is their employees. Now, that doesn't mean these four aren't the only possible ones. You might have other people like analysts who follow your firm if you're a large publicly traded company, for example. Or there may be other ones, but use this basic structure as a good way to get started identifying your target audience. To dive deeper, check out the Visible Expert Course at Hinge University. Identifying Your Target Audience: The Top 8 Mistakes Writers Make
http://www.YourWriterPlatform.com. Defining your target audience is much easier said than done. Many writers end up skipping this step because they fail to recognize its importance in their book marketing plans. But the truth is, identifying and understanding the wants, needs and desires of your ideal readership can "make or break" your marketing strategy. Without a solid grasp of what makes your readers tick – and what they are really searching for – you will waste a considerable amount of time and energy promoting your work to an indifferent market. Or worse, you'll begin to receive pushback or negative reviews from people that your book was never written for. But here's the good news... There is a wealth of information at your fingertips, about every audience and sub-genre imaginable. From basic demographics like age, gender, location, income, occupation or ethnicity, to audience psychographics, like personality, attitudes, values, interests, hobbies, lifestyle and even behaviour. The roadblock? Writers are making some silly mistakes when targeting their ideal audience – 8 of which I cover in this video: For the FREE cheatsheet, go here: http://www.yourwriterplatform.com/identifying-your-target-audience-8-mistakes-writers-make/ #1 You assume you already know your target audience and employ a “one-size-fits-all” approach to your marketing strategy. Action Step: Don’t guess! Do your research and make sure that you are targeting the right audience, and that you understand that audience fully. #2 You have no clue as to who your ideal readers are, the pain they are experiencing or the needs that they are searching to fill. Action Step: Take the time to determine exactly who you are trying to reach and uncover their most pressing issue, desire or problem (so that you can be in a position to solve it). #3 Your market is too broad or general, or you’re worried about excluding people. Action Step: The more people you try to speak to, the more diluted your message has to be to reach them all. Focus on including the “right” people and meeting their needs and desires. #4 You take a random, haphazard approach as opposed to getting specific about who you are here to help. Action Step: Save time by clearly identifying and getting to know your target audience, and stop trying to do a little of everything (without analyzing the results). #5 You don’t have a clear message that really connects with your target audience about what they’re looking for (or why YOU are the one to provide it). Action Step: Ensure that the messages you share and the content you create not only addresses your readers’ needs and desires, but shows how you (and your work) are the “solution”. #6 You become completely overwhelmed when trying to identify all the relevant characteristics of your target audience (or have no idea where to start). Action Step: Start simple. Who would you like your community to be comprised of? Look at those who’ve already had positive experiences with your work. Who is reaching your ideal audience already, and how are they meeting their readers’ needs? #7 Missing the mark and choosing the wrong audience to target. Action Step: Look inward. What can you bring to the table? Choose an audience whose needs you can meet. #8 Thinking of your target audience as a group, when really you’re trying to identify just ONE person. Action Step: Create a detailed reader profile. Having a specific, “real” person in mind makes connecting and engaging a whole lot easier!

How to identify your target Airbnb audience
Airbnb is a business, and as with any other business, it's essential to identify your target audience. You have to know who you are marketing to. Once you have identified your ideal customer, you can optimise the experience you're offering to their needs. To figure this out, ask yourself these three questions: 1. What type of visitors frequent my area? You have to know who visits your area, that's the demographic you can choose from. If you're near Disneyland, there's no point targeting young singles, because they most likely prefer to drink cocktails in South Beach rather than take selfies with Minnie Mouse. 2. Who do I want to host? Amsterdam attracts a lot of young people who want to party and try all sorts of stimulating substances. That's not the type of demographic I wanted to host though, because I didn't want complaints from neighbours. Officially, my building didn't allow for short term rentals, but because I was picky with the people I hosted, I never had complains and was able to host for almost five years. However, my penthouse in Colombia is in a small, stand-alone building that only has four apartments, which are all specifically designed for short term rentals. I'll be operating 100% legally and there are no local residents in the building. A very different situation, much more suitable for hosting a younger crowd, singles who want to enjoy the local nightlife and younger couples who want to dance salsa until sunrise. 3. Who would love to stay at my home? Once you've established who you want to cater to, and those type of people actually visit your area, the last thing you want to ask yourself is if those people would want to stay at your home. Is it a good fit? You may want to host business travellers but if your home is located in night life central then those business people might not want to stay with you. In today's video I explain how I answered these questions before I decided to invest in my penthouse in the city of Cali, Colombia.

How to Reach Your Target Audience: Subtract and Rule Policy
No matter how big or small your business is, you'll need the support of your target audience to survive in this competitive market. Most of the online business owners know about their target market, but they are unaware of their defined audience. They are busy in framing their product/service idea without understanding the impact of their target audience. Golden Rule for Expanding Your Empire: Focus on a small set of people by directing all your energies on five W's. In the beginning, you have to engage in self-promotion to reach the target audience. With time, your target audience will reach you in search of valuable content. Law of Reciprocation implies 'You sow what you reap'. If you educate your target audience by sowing desired seeds in their minds, you will reap lots of credibility and profit in future. Don't expand your horizon by thinking 'More people means more profit'. Actually, 'more people leads to more confusion'. Move ahead in the market with this ideology: I'll conquer my target audience in such a way that others will think twice before disturbing my small space.

"How Can I Help You?"- Understanding Target Audience Barriers: Nancy Lee at TEDxMontlakeCut
Nancy Lee shares two stories illustrating how easy it is to find out what you can do to help your target audience change a behavior. You simply ask them "How Can I Help You?" In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

What is a Target Market?
What is a target market and how do you find your target market? For help with marketing your small business please visit: http://www.SummerAlexanderResearch.com Summer Alexander shares the easiest definition of a target market you've ever heard plus three quick tips on how to define them. First, I will start with the technical definition of a target market via the all-knowing Wise One- Wikipedia: A target market is a group of customers that the business has decided to aim its marketing efforts and ultimately its merchandise towards. A well-defined target market is the first element to a marketing strategy. The target market and the marketing mix variables of product, place(distribution), promotion and price are the four elements of a marketing mix strategy that determine the success of a product in the marketplace. Next, I will provide you with my definition of a target market: The group of people who have a specific problem (that your company specifically solves), who know they have this problem, who are actively searching for a remedy to this problem, and -- here's the kicker -- can afford to pay for your solution to their problem. So let's talk about some ways to find them. #1 -- Guess Yup I said it. Guess. Not just pull a demographic out of the sky but give an educated guess. When you started your company who did you envision purchasing your products or services? Describe the type of people you really like to work with. Who do you think is the typical user of the products and services you provide? Who is the typical buyer? (note: may be different than the user) What kind of income do you think this customer would need to afford your services? What type of events typically trigger a customer to purchase from you? #2 -- Trial and Error This is one of my favorite strategies. I never really liked the idea of narrowing down your target market without having first worked with a few people first. I recommend a little trial and error when it comes to determining your target market. After you've come up with an educated guess, do some light (inexpensive) marketing to that group and see how it goes. Perhaps the group you thought would be ideal buyers are really just pains in the you-know-what. Do they haggle you over prices, refuse to return your phone calls, ask for more than what they are willing to pay for? Even though a market may sound good on paper or in your business plan, doesn't mean in real life they won't drive you nuts. After working with around 20-30 people you should be able to start narrowing down your market by plucking out those who aren't a good fit and finding the group who is their polar opposite. #3 -- Borrow In most cases there is no such thing as an ideal target market who know one else is selling to. Do some research on businesses who are similar to yours (also known as competitors) and see who it is they are marketing to. Search their Facebook and Twitter posts to see who's engaged with them. Check out customer rating sites like Yelp or Google Local to see what kind of feedback they are getting and from whom. Snoop around on their websites and see who is commenting on their blog posts and while you are there check out their testimonials page. Don't abuse this step by becoming a creepy competitor stalker but do use it to gain an understanding on what market your competitors (especially the successful ones) are advertising to and what prompts those buyer to purchase.

How To Really Understand Your Target Audience
Understanding your target audience takes time to truly understand. No one wants to take the time to understand their target client at the core because the “thinking” that it requires isn’t fun, but it’s critical, it’s necessary, it’s key!
