The conquest of the Netherlands by Napoleon had left the Dutch colonists in a state of limbo, with the British claiming authority over them despite their homeland being ruled by the French. Many of these settlers, known as the Boers, moved inland to escape British oversight and pushed into land owned by the Zulus. Mpande, the new Zulu leader, attempted to keep the peace between the British and the Boers, but the treaties he negotiated on both sides only led to further conflict. Eventually, his son Cetshwayo peacefully took power over the Zulus around the same time that the Europeans discovered diamonds in South Africa. The government of Great Britain took an even greater interest in South Africa, stepping in to try to bribe or force the relucant natives to work the diamond mines established by European mining firms. Secretary of State Lord Carnarvon, who was responsible for the unification of colonies in Canada, made it his mission to unify the South African colonies and appointed Henry Bartle Frere as his governor and representative. Bartle Frere removed the local Capetown government, who had been largely sympathetic to the native peoples and opposed his harsh unification policies, then issued harsh and intentionally impossible demands against the Zulu. Cetshwayo refused to accept these demands, and thus began the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. ____________ Get the intro music here! http://bit.ly/1EQA5N7 *Music by Demetori: http://bit.ly/1AaJG4H Listen to the outro music here! http://bit.ly/1L6ihlE __________ Extra History - World War I: The Seminal Tragedy The Concert of Europe: http://bit.ly/1uLnt5X James Recommends - Mod Week! Mining for Emeralds in Brazil by GIA

02:32
http://gia.edu/gem-encyclopedia Mining for Emeralds in Brazil by GIA. Emerald gemstone has many special qualities. From Sao Paolo, Brazil, Sergio Martins discusses the emerald gemstone history, industry and how sourcing this precious stone is performed in Brazilian mines. He explains the different types of Brazilian mining systems that exist at different locations throughout the country. The Belmont mine has a large area and conducts open pit mining on a large scale. They have consistently produced this precious gemstone for 30 years. Sergio also discusses the Nova Era mine, different from the other emerald mines because it belongs to over 140 people. Located in the area of Garimpeiro, emerald mining in this region involves miners making shafts and looking for the vein that leads to a large concentration of emerald, a “pocket”. Mining can take up to few years before any emerald stones are discovered, but once found, they can produce up to 10 million dollars worth of emeralds in one pocket. Africa's Enormous Wealth - Gold, Diamonds, Oil. THE NINTH ORPHAN

01:47
THE NINTH ORPHAN is a conspiracy thriller novel written by James & Lance Morcan. Published in August 2011 by Sterling Gate Books, the controversial book merges fact with fiction and illuminates shadow organizations rumored to exist in the real world. THE NINTH ORPHAN is available as a Trade Paperback on Createspace and Amazon and in selected bookstores worldwide. It's also available as an ebook via Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Ninth-Orphan-James-Morcan/dp/0473193132/ref=tmm_pap_tit... https://www.createspace.com/3642008 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056I4FKC THE NINTH ORPHAN / Sterling Gate Books / ISBN: 978-0473193133 Excerpt from Chapter 25, page 123 (read by James Morcan): As the seemingly well-intentioned French journalist spoke about Africa's scarcity and its limited resources, Nine smiled to himself almost condescendingly. He considered such statements an absolute joke. Africa did not, nor did it ever have, limited resources. Nine knew something the journalist obviously didn't: Africa was the most abundantly resourced continent on the planet bar none. Like the despots who ruled much of the region, and the foreign governments who propped them up, he knew there was more than enough wealth in Africa's mineral resources such as gold, diamonds and oil -- not to mention the land that nurtured these resources -- for every man, woman and child. He thought it unfortunate Africa had never been able to compete on a level playing field. The continent's almost unlimited resources were the very reason foreigners had meddled in African affairs for the past century or more. Nine knew it was Omega's plan, and that of other greedy organizations, to siphon as much wealth as they could out of vulnerable Third World countries, especially in Africa. The same organizations had the formula down pat: they indirectly started civil wars in mineral-rich regions by providing arms to opposing local factions, and sometimes even helped to create famines, in order to destabilize African countries. This made the targeted countries highly vulnerable to international control. Once the outside organizations had divided and conquered, they were then able to plunder the country's resources.

12000 Yr Old Mountain Sized Statue Found In Africa?

04:21
Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/MysteryHistory Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MysteryHistoryBook/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/Mysterytweetery Steemit: https://steemit.com/@mysteryhistory There are many ancient relics, strewn across our planet, which are unimaginably ancient. Hidden from inquisitive minds, often by a variety of factors, millennia of undergrowth, conspiratorial bodies, or even personal perceptions of historical truth. However, there lay a far more interesting, far more inspiring tale, resting just beneath the surface of this illusion, just waiting to flourish. Previously, we covered some of the amazing discoveries made by a man known as professor Potini, in particular, his extremely peculiar stone found In 1990, within a diamond mine in Sierra Leone, within West Africa. It is known as the sky stone. Numerous specialists have analysed the stone and concluded that it is somehow made of pure oxygen, with a colour source which is, as yet, unknown... Unbeknownst to many however, is that Professor Angelo Pitoni, had many strings to his bow… He was a geologist, a botanist, an agronomist… Discoverer of emerald mines, gold mines, an expert in the precious stone lapis lazuli, along with many other talents. And although many perceive his sky stone as a defining discovery, due to its abnormal, curious, although not unique characteristics… We feel his actual defining discovery, his legacy left upon the unexplained mystery history of our planet, can be found elsewhere... He did in fact, during his lifetime of exploration, indeed discover something unique upon our planet. Something undoubtedly important, immensely ancient, and quite possibly a last remaining remnant, of an unimaginably old civilisation which was once found upon the African continent. Found during his ventures deep within sierra Leone, West Africa. The Lady of Mali. He examined the land at the foot of her mountainous form, and according to his calculations, the stone monument was indeed manmade, and carved well over 12,000 years ago. Reaching an astonishing 1500 metres into the air, it an image of a woman’s figure hewn from an entire face of Mount Lour. Predictably, due to modern academia, and the entrenched paradigmatically cast spell, upon may modern fields of study, the only explanation that can be ascertained, for this clearly man made, highly ancient artwork, is that it is merely an coincidental, natural formation… In an interview with journalist Carmen Machado, Pitoni explained that the statue is located to the north of the city of Conakry, and close to the country's border with Mali. The geologist estimates the "lady of Mali" to be some twenty thousand years old, this concluded through the observations of displacement motions, within a natural rock fault, he found within the ladies form. He also spoke of caves in the area which contained mummies, guarded by the locals, who he claimed rumoured of their quote, "Atlantean" origins... Unfortunately, professor potini died in 2009 so any other invaluable information he may have acquired regarding the area, went to the grave with him. However, the lady of Mali, remains, and will undoubtedly live on for many years to come. Just who could have built the Lady of Mali? Is she really a 12000 year old relic, left by a pre flood, pre cataclysmic civilisation? Or, merely a natural formation? Do you believe an opinion based on an historical assumption? Or one based upon explorations, investigations, resulting in unexplained physical artefacts? We will let you decide. http://www.thelivingmoon.com/43ancients/02files/Earth_Images_05b.html

Gold, Silver & Slaves (Britain's Slave Trade Documentary) | Timeline

49:27
Check out our new website for more incredible history documentaries: HD and ad-free. http://bit.ly/2O6zUsK Gold, Silver & Slaves looks at how the business of slavery was a case of slave-trading by complicit Africans, fuelled by the greed of African kings. This is the untold story of the greatest slaving nation in history. Up till now, Britain’s place in the history of slavery has been as the country that abolished the international slave trade. Britain’s Slave Trade reveals the shameful truth behind this liberal facade, showing how the economic, social and cultural life of Britain would have been unrecognisable without slavery. Britain’s Slave Trade explains how a middling European power transformed itself into the ruler of the waves, tracing the impact this had on the British way of life and taking in the Industrial Revolution, the beginnings of Empire and the birth of modern racism along the way. It also unearths startling evidence showing how many families that think of themselves as ‘pure’ English stock are in fact descended from slave ancestors. Mugabe on sanctions, diamonds, foreign companies

01:29
(17 Feb 2010) SHOTLIST 1. Mid shot, Zimbabwe''s President Robert Mugabe, speaking to reporters 2. SOUNDBITE: (English) Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe: "Don''t mind them. We know their attitude, they don''t want anyone, any country in the developing world to make any meaningful developmental strides. They are against our development. And that attitude is more pronounced even in regard to Zimbabwe, you know that." 3. SOUNDBITE: (English) Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe: (Q: "And dragging of our diamonds into the whole issue again of sanctions?") "Well, it''s the same thing. But we are trying to play it their own way but we could go outside that KP (Kimberley Process) system and do it otherwise, other systems. We can sell our diamonds our own way anyway." 4. SOUNDBITE: (English) Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe: (Q: "Referring to the indigenisation law, some people are saying it will hurt foreign direct investment given that it will only be taking 51 percent?") "49 percent is a hell lot of equity and it''s only foolish ones who will say so. Wise ones will take it up." 5. Wide shot, Mugabe at exhibitor''s stand 6. Tilt from boots to Mugabe STORYLINE Zimbabwe''s President Robert Mugabe said on Wednesday he does not mind the extension of sanctions by the European Union on him and his close allies. The European Union announced on Tuesday that it was extending sanctions on Mugabe and his allies, citing the lack of progress in implementing a political agreement with former opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC). Mugabe, who was officially opening a tourism investor conference in the nation''s capital Harare, claimed that the EU "don''t want any country in the developing world to make any meaningful developmental strides". Mugabe''s ZANU-PF party were hoping that the EU and other western nations would lift sanctions following the formation of the unity government. Mugabe also suggested that Zimbabwe might sell its diamonds outside the Kimberley Process, an international grouping set up to govern the global diamond industry. The Kimberley Process has been under pressure since last year to take action against Zimbabwe following allegations of human rights abuses at the country''s Marange diamond fields. Mining is managed by Zimbabwe''s Mining Development Corporation under protection of the military. Mugabe was also questioned about Zimbabwe''s new indigenisation law, which makes it mandatory for local indigenous people to hold a 51 percent stake in foreign companies. Mugabe said only "fools" would not accept the new law. Mugabe''s comments came on the anniversary of the first meeting of the unity government''s cabinet, formed of members of Tsvangirai''s Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) and President Robert Mugabe''s ZANU-PF party. Thankfully many girls don't fall for it but then once in a while i find me a gold digger thats even willing to cheat on her husband or boyfriend just because she thinks i have a lamborghini. What do you guys think of this series? There are few other youtube pranksters out there like udypranks and riskyrobtv. Do you guys like their style of longer videos? Udy sets up a whole operation with he boyfriends to see if their girls are cheating on them. Should I make mine similar to udy pranks or keep mine short? risky rob tv likes to use a variety of cars and i find his videos hilarious! What did you guys think of the joke i made with the tractor dumping dirt? Do you have a suggestion as to what jokes I use on the next video? This prank almost went full on gone wrong once i handed the gold digger the shovel and had her realize she was just exposed as gold digger causing her to nearly throw it at me. What cars should I use for the future gold digger pranks? lamborghini? ferrari? mclaren? bmw? how about a boat or a plane? helicopter? private jet? haha or how about a tank? lol that would be the best prank ever and turn out hilarious. Comment your ideas below! I will continue this series as long as it makes you laugh. Love you! :) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ About this channel: HoomanTV is a comedy channel. I have a silly, goofy humor and on my channel you can find hilarious public prank videos that'll make you fall off your chair!

Who "Legally" Owns All ~ 30 Facts on Citizen-ships

original https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ1ET0JETUQ&feature=youtu.be Who owns the FED and controls the US government through the economy. The Rothschilds and the Bank of England. The Rothschild Group controls governments, (the USA through the privately-owned Federal Reserve System) Its no big mystery now. The US Congress gave control of the goverment over to the (FED) private banks which means our country is not controlled by American citizens. (The Congress can take control away from the (FED) private bankers but they never will because the Congress is infested with politicians under the direct control of the FED,CFR etc. Many members of the Congress do the bidding of the CFR) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The underpinning of all major Multi-National Corporations begins with the Rothschild Banking & Mining interests: * Rothschild Group: Headquartered in London. Finances (in their words) "governments, corporations throughout the world" Here. The Rothschild Group has 47 offices world wide which include New York, Washington DC, Paris, Frankfort, Amsterdam, Rome, Johannesburg, Tel Aviv, Tokyo, Madrid, and Hong Kong. ~ Under David René James de Rothschild, (b 1942), son of Guy de Rothschild (1909-2007), the Rothschild Group controls governments, (the USA through the privately-owned Federal Reserve System), financial institutions, mining industries, and Multi-National Corporations throughout the world. * De Beers Mining: Headquartered in Zurich Switzerland. Mines both gold and diamonds primarily in South Africa. (De Beers will not officially admit to "gold mining" because they fear accusations of being in control of the "gold standard.") ~ Offices world-wide include London, Johannesburg, Canada, Australia, Angola, India, and Brazil. David Renà James de Rothschild is Chairman Here. Nicky Oppenheimer is Co-Chairman Here. ~ Not only do the Rothschilds control the mining of South African gold through De Beers, they also control its price. In London, all gold bullion passes through the hands of three firms who govern the price of gold from day to day. These are N. M. Rothschild & Sons, Mocatta & Goldsmid, and Samuel Montagu & Co Here. ~ Together with the Oppenheimer family, the Rothshilds through their French subsidiary Imetal S.A. once again, under David Renà James de Rothschild, have mining interests not only in iron, platinum, copper, zinc, tin, and coal throughout the world. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Chart of who "owns" the Federal Reserve Chart 1 Federal Reserve Directors: A Study of Corporate and Banking Influence Published 1976 Chart 1 reveals the linear connection between the Rothschilds and the Bank of England, and the London banking houses which ultimately control the Federal Reserve Banks through their stockholdings of bank stock and their subsidiary firms in New York. The two principal Rothschild representatives in New York, J. P. Morgan Co., and Kuhn,Loeb & Co. were the firms which set up the Jekyll Island Conference at which the Federal Reserve Act was drafted, who directed the subsequent successful campaign to have the plan enacted into law by Congress, and who purchased the controlling amounts of stock in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 1914. These firms had their principal officers appointed to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and the Federal Advisory Council in 1914. In 1914 a few families (blood or business related) owning controlling stock in existing banks (such as in New York City) caused those banks to purchase controlling shares in the Federal Reserve regional banks. Examination of the charts and text in the House Banking Committee Staff Report of August, 1976 and the current stockholders list of the 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks show this same family control.

"Plundering the Planet" - Club of Rome: Shortage of Key Resoruces Ahead - Kontext TV

07:16
Complete broadcast: http://www.kontext-tv.de/node/364 More than 40 years after the report „The Limits to Growth", the Club of Rome presented its new report: „Plundering the Planet". Its author Ugo Bardi explains the consequences of overexploitation. Growing energy costs for the extraction of minerals from less and less concentrated ores could soon lead to shortages of key resources like oil, uranium or copper. Even worse are the ecological costs of mining: radioactive materials and heavy metals poison the earth's ecological systems while growing CO2 emissions cause catastrophic climate change.

The jade trade between Myanmar and China is worth an estimated US$30 billion a year - about half of Myanmar’s GDP. But jade mining is a bloodstained business built on drug addiction, slave labour and massive environmental destruction. Who should be responsible for the dark side of jade? Known as the Silk Road, it stretched through some of the most rugged terrain in the world 2000 years ago. Now modern China is building a new Silk Road. The New Silk Road, also known as the One Belt One Road plan, is a hugely ambitious initiative launched by Presdent Xi Jinping in 2013. It will link up over 65 countries and 4.4 billion people. That is about 60 per cent of the world’s population. Channel NewsAsia’s documentary team has travelled across the globe to 7 regions to investigate what the Silk Road means for individuals, companies and countries. The epic journey takes viewers from the future ports of China to naval bases in the Philippines, to safaris in Africa, wushu schools in Iran and ghettos in Greece. The Romans In China | Eurasia (4 of 8)

48:31
The Romans in China Ancient Chinese documents dating back 1600 years have revealed the presence of Romans at the very heart of China as far back as the year 166 AD. According to these chronicles, they had been emissaries sent by the powers in Rome in order to establish relations with the Han Empire. Were they ambassadors or just ordinary merchants ? Maybe they were both… At the times of Augustus, Rome's first emperor, the empire had been enjoying two prosperous centuries. It was the era of the Pax Romana and Rome's power was to expand rapidly due to contacts and trade. Endless caravans supplied a steady stream of goods from the Orient to the ports of the Mediterranean. Each trip represented a perilous voyage of 11 000 km with dangers lurking along the trade routes, not least of them being the Huns who turned travelling into a dangerous and uncertain enterprise. Setting out from Antioch (Antakya), the merchants sent their goods to Asia via the terrestrial trade routes to Lo Yang, the capital of China. Along the road, intermediaries forced themselves upon the Roman and Chinese traders: the Parths, an Iranian tribe which occupied Persia. Their hold on the caravan routes was to become so powerful that the Romans looked for alternatives: it would be the maritime route. During the reign of Augustus, some 120 ships crossed the Indian Ocean. On behalf of the Romans, Tamil sailors expanded their maritime routes towards the golden land, in other words Indochina, then crossed the Malacca straits to reach China. The Romans had established trading posts all along the coast of Indochina and put Tamil or Indian agents in charge of them. ______________________________________________________________ *Couldn't find subtitles for the French experts translations for this documentary.
