Thousands of mining jobs are waiting in Western Australia but Aussies don’t want them: https://www.news.com.au/finance/business/mining/thousands-of-mining-jobs-are-waiting-in-western-australia-but-aussies-dont-want-them/news-story/9abb09bee9c85fc6419597a14e77df3e. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd_ODCcrc4jEWgi4qYyy0wg?sub_confirmation=1  From 2012 to 2016, the mining industry experienced a severe downturn, culling close to 60,000 jobs and making full-time work an almost impossible get. But now, especially in Western Australia and Queensland, the mining industry is on the road to recovery — and companies are begging Aussies to come and work for them. According to the latest data from SEEK, the mining, resource and energy sector has consistently recorded the largest growth in job ads for the past 11 months. The sector is throwing out 32 per cent more job ads now than it was at the same time last year and is posting almost four times more job ads than Australia’s average. But just because mining companies are putting out thousands of ads and offering salaries paying well over $150,000 doesn’t mean Aussies are picking them up. Earlier this week, the CEO of WA’s Chamber of Minerals and Energy backed a migration agreement that would hopefully combat a severe skills shortage in the mining region of the Goldfields. If approved, the Designated Area Migration Agreement would allow overseas workers to be flown over to work in the mines and would make them exempt from the skilled migrants requirement. Chief executive Paul Everingham told the ABC there were more than 1000 vacancies in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder mining sector and said the region was at crisis point.  “You can’t sugar coat that — they’re available now and they’re not being filled, so however you can get them (workers),” Mr Everingham said. “All Australian companies want to employ Australians first, but if there aren’t enough Australians … we have got to remember there’s an infrastructure boom going on in NSW. “So if we have to set up special immigration or work zones, our members would definitely welcome the ability to get access to skilled workers immediately.” The WA mining industry is advertising for thousands of jobs ranging from cleaners to tradesmen to university-educated engineers. But following Mr Everidge’s comments, a number of people involved in the state’s mining industry have said more needs to be done to make relocating an attractive proposition. Despite the huge salaries fly-in fly-out workers earn, most complain of having no work-life balance. FIFO workers typically have higher rates of suicide, struggle with depression due to long hours and loneliness and report higher rates of workplace bullying and alcoholism. In 2015, the West Australian government conducted a 10-month investigation into the state’s FIFO workforce. Lifeline WA admitted in October last year it still had no idea exactly how many FIFO workers were affected by mental illness or how many had committed suicide while away from their families to work in the state’s mines. Even the report issued after the lengthy investigation admitted “the inquiry struck several problem areas in relation to statistics”. “Clear data was difficult to find in the areas of: a definitive total number of workers employed in the Western Australia resources industry on a FIFO #Thousands, #mining, #jobs, #waiting, #WesternAustralia, #Aussies, #don’t, #want, #them #miningindustry, #mentalillness, #mentalhealth, #workersdying, #miningindustryaccounts, #flyinflyoutworkers, #Australiangovernment, #miningsector, #resourcesindustry, #Australiancompanies, #parttimework, #miningcompanies, #miningregion, #mentalhealthissues, #migrationagreement, #skilledmigrantsrequirement, #Companiestalk, #miningjobs, #worklifebalance, #suicidestatistics, #prevalencerate, #suiciderates, #crisispoint, #energysector, #productionsites, #skillsshortage, #problemareas, #WesternAustralia, #Australia, #AustraliaandNewZealand, #Oceania, #Queensland, #UniversityofWesternAustralia, #AustralianBureauofStatistics, #CommunityServices, #MentalHealthCommission, #ChamberofMineralsandEnergy, #PeterMiller, #PaulEveringham, #NatalieWolfe

MINING ENGINEER MIGRATING FROM PHILIPPINES TO AUSTRALIA

03:39
Mabuhay! This video is presented by Jose Respall, the principal of Respall Migration Australia which was founded in 1999. If you are a Filipino Mining Engineer working in the Philippines or overseas in a country outside Australia here is a great opportunity for you. A chance to further your career in Australia. It is a land of opportunity with higher wages and a wonderful relaxed way of life. Joseis a registered migration agent who specialises in Australian immigration. The first step involves reading the first 4 chapters of Jose Respall's book Avoiding The Migration Minefield - How To Migrate To Australia From The Philippines. The book captures his 14 years of Australian immigration experience. Respall has made the first 4 chapters available in a downloadable e-book from the website at http://www.respall.com/. He has included real life Australian immigration case studies, hints and tips on how to migrate to Australia, technical information and the all-important code of conduct. The video outlines the process to receiving a visa to live in Australia. The Mining Engineer applicant must attend a review for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at Respall Migration Australia Manila. This is done to help the applicant to pass it. The engineer is shown the Competency Demonstration Report (CDR) which is a requirement of Engineers Australia to prove the applicant has the experience to work in Australia. Respall Migration Australia documentation specialists assist the Mining Engineer with each document to make sure it is correct - this includes improving their CV to Australian standards. Engineers Australia is the assessing authority for engineers who migrate to Australia from the Philippines. Once the IELTS test has been passed and Engineers Australia has provided a favourable letter the next step is for Respall Migration Australia to prepare an Expression of Interest and lodge it with the Department of Immigration and Boarder Protection (DIPB). The department sends specific instructions regarding the engineer application for Australian immigration and Respall Migration Australia help the Mining Engineer to complete the requests. Once those requirements are met the department issues a visa grant for the engineer and their family members - if they are included in the application for Australian immigration. To start this whole process a Filipino Mining Engineer must email their CV to Respall Migration Australia for assessment. Engineers living in the Philippines can meet Respall Migration Australia in their Makati City office; those further away can Skype. The complete book Avoiding The Migration Minefield - How To Migrate To Australia From The Philippines will officially be launched in May 2014 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Respall Migration Australia. Respall Migration Australian principal Jose Respall says there is a real minefield when it comes to Australian immigration. Engineers being highly skilled professionals sometimes attempt to prepare their own visa applications but they can't be expected to know the Migration Act and keep up with Australian government changes to legislation which occur several times a year. One wrong answer or incorrect document can jeopardise the entire application. The other danger is the many unscrupulous and corrupt individuals who promise to help but really are only interested in taking the applicant's money and disappearing. Some have masqueraded as migration agents. The end result is usually the visa applicant losing a lot of money for no gain. Respall Migration Australia stresses the need for a genuine and valid visa application for Australian immigration. A Filipino Mining Engineer has peace of mind knowing that Jose Respall, who is located in Sydney, Australia, is a registered migration agent as is the manager of his operation based in the Philippines and they must abide by the Code of Conduct as a breach of the code would see their licence being removed. A copy of the code of conduct is provided by Respall Migration Australia to their clients. Why you should make useless things | Simone Giertz

11:58
In this joyful, heartfelt talk featuring demos of her wonderfully wacky creations, Simone Giertz shares her craft: making useless robots. Her inventions -- designed to chop vegetables, cut hair, apply lipstick and more -- rarely (if ever) succeed, and that's the point. "The true beauty of making useless things [is] this acknowledgment that you don't always know what the best answer is," Giertz says. "It turns off that voice in your head that tells you that you know exactly how the world works. Maybe a toothbrush helmet isn't the answer, but at least you're asking the question." Using data and technology to improve patient outcomes

01:03:23
These five presenters share their innovative projects which use data and technology to improve outcomes for cancer patients. 1. Twenty five per cent of patients seen at the North Coast Cancer Institute are prostate radiation therapy patients. Treatment requires a full bladder and empty rectum to decrease toxicities to the bladder, rectum and small bowel. However, due to non-compliance, an in-house study was conducted into consistently achieving full bladder volumes by using CT simulation. This presentation reveals the study results. Abstract title: The use of a bladder scanner at simulation to achieve consistently full bladder volumes. Vanessa Connors, Coffs Harbour Hospital 2. Professor Tim Shaw discusses the development of an online, evidence-based eLearning program (Qstream) for busy general practitioners (GPs). Prof. Shaw addresses the long-term benefits and results in improving best practice cancer care among primary health care professionals. Abstract title: Using the Qstream eLearning method to improve best practice cancer care through increased knowledge retention. Professor Tim Shaw, University of Sydney 3. Previous clinical trials have proven difficult to attract haematology malignant studies due to low incidence and geographical challenges. To overcome this and keep haematologists up to date with research trials, avoid patient transfer and cultural barriers, and provide accessible knowledge management, a mobile application has been developed called Clintrial Refer. This free 'app' features a current, comprehensive list of haematology trials, accessible anytime, anywhere on smartphones and iPads. The 'app' has already been downloaded by more than 600 people since its launch in May 2013. Abstract title: ClinTrial Refer - a mobile application to connect patients with local clinical trials. Roslyn Ristuccia, St George Hospital 4. With so much data to wade through, rapid learning can be difficult. This presentation delves into a recent study to locate data from previous lung cancer patients in order to learn and validate a prediction model for outcomes after radiotherapy, and allow for analysis of large datasets in multiple hospitals without the need for a centralised data pooling. Abstract title: Rapid learning healthcare network for prediction of outcomes in lung cancer patients. Dr. Shalini Vinod, Liverpool Hospital 5. Graeme Bell presents an innovative local information system which was implemented in the Illawarra Local Health District in 2011with the aim to rapidly learn and inform care. This oncology information system (OIS) has been developed around 'big data', purposefully obtaining data in the course of routine clinical practice and using it to drive multiple projects. Abstract title: Use of a local oncology information system to rapidly learn and inform care at the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). As a part of the symposium, “Whither American Social Work in its Second Century?” Professor Mike Austin, University of California Berkeley, School of Social Welfare, gives a description of the profession’s current role(s) in the administration of social services, particularly in teaching the next generation, as well as in producing relevant scholarship around management practice. Austin suggests recommendations for the kinds of social work roles and research that are needed going forward. Associate Professor Jennifer Mosley, University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, gives the response as to if management has a place in the future of the social work profession as well as the challenge that social work schools are facing in educating students who seek a management curriculum. A discussion with the audience follows.

General Practice Nursing: A New Dimension in Primary Health Care

01:30:43
Practice nursing presents some great opportunities and viable alternatives for primary health care. Health workforce shortages have for some time caused concern in Australia. A number of studies have emphasised an underlying need to develop a more sustainable and responsive health workforce, while maintaining a commitment to high quality and safe health outcomes. In attempting to address health workforce shortages generally and medical workforce shortages in particular, the Australian Government has introduced a number of initiatives including regulatory restrictions and incentive payments. Some of these have involved programs that encourage development of the practice nurse specialisation. The term 'practice nurse' is generally applied to qualified nurses who are employed by medical general practices. Practice nursing is a relatively new area of nursing specialisation in Australia. Practice nursing in Australia traditionally has been a means through which nurses have been able to accommodate family commitments by engaging in part time employment which has not involved shift work. Consequently, there has been little acknowledgement of the special skills nurses need to work in Australian general practice and almost no formal education to prepare and support nurses in the practice nursing. For some time there was also speculation in that practice nursing could be detrimental to nurses' careers as it was thought that professional competency could possibly be diminished as a result of working in general practice. This program discusses the professional issues in practice nursing. Suitable models of practice, training and education, indemnity, and the wide variation of roles among practice nurses are also discussed. The strengths and opportunities in practice nursing are explored, as well as the barriers to the further development of practice nursing. ch 16) A Peoples War

01:45:41
chapter 16: A People's History (Of The United States) Howard Zinn. ~ Chapter 16, "A People's War?", covers World War II, opposition to it, and the effects of the war on the people. Zinn, a veteran of the war himself, notes that "it was the most popular war the US ever fought," [p104] but states that this support may have been manufactured through the institutions of American society. He cites various instances of opposition to fighting (in some cases greater than those during World War I) as proof. Zinn also argues that the US's true intention was not fighting against systematic racism, since the US had this itself, such as with the Jim Crow laws (leading to opposition to the war from African-Americans). Another argument made by Zinn is that the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not necessary, as the U.S. government had already known that the Japanese were considering surrender beforehand. Other subjects from WWII covered include Japanese American internment and the bombing of Dresden. The chapter continues into the Cold War, which Zinn writes was used by the U.S. government to increase control over the American people (for instance, eliminating such radical elements as the Communist Party) and at the same time create a state of permanent war, which allowed for the creation of the military-industrial complex. Zinn believes this was possible because both conservatives and liberals willingly worked together in the name of anti-Communism. Also covered is US involvement in the Greek Civil War, the Korean War, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, and the Marshall Plan.

Secretos No Revelados de la biblia,DOCUMENTALES DE LA BIBLIA,BIBLE

01:25:02
- HISTORIA DE LOS CRISTIANOS DESDE JESUCRISTO A CONSTANTINO- Documental De Jesucristo a Constantino 1- El nacimiento https://openload.co/f/0O8LXXlalO8 Documental De Jesucristo a Constantino 2- El gran misionero https://openload.co/f/OKJb4Pr1124 Documental De Jesucristo a Constantino 3- La era de los apóstoles https://openload.co/f/1nlcSla-NSw Documental De Jesucristo a Constantino 4- Del apocalipsis https://openload.co/f/FOG_UgB3XCA Documental De Jesucristo a Constantino 5- Paganos y el culto https://openload.co/f/kY-wbjGWN5M Documental De Jesucristo a Constantino 6- Constantino https://openload.co/f/pl0FhWBg1gA Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses. These are some of the best known characters of the Old Testament. But are they your real stories, or mere myths? In this program we go into science while archeologists scrutinize the Bible to separate fiction and reality and find out if it is true that Moses was truly the author of the Hebrew Bible. Is there evidence to support the exodus of the chosen people from Egypt or was it a small group of Canaanites who simply decided to free themselves? To find out, we will uncover ancient artifacts that help date biblical events and see what archaeologists say may have been the walls that Joshua knocked down. Several years ago, one of the most important monuments in history was found. It is the so-called Stele of Merenptah (also called Stele of Victory or Stele of Israel), made in honor of Pharaoh Merenptah, son of Ramses the Great. The stone has achieved great notoriety because the engraved text includes the first mention known to Israel (or the Israelites), in the penultimate line, within the list of towns defeated by Merenptah. Today it is located in the Cairo Museum. Auburn Coach Wife Kristi Malzahn Agrees with Match & eHarmony: Men are Jerks

12:23
My advice is this: Settle! That's right. Don't worry about passion or intense connection. Don't nix a guy based on his annoying habit of yelling "Bravo!" in movie theaters. Overlook his halitosis or abysmal sense of aesthetics. Because if you want to have the infrastructure in place to have a family, settling is the way to go. Based on my observations, in fact, settling will probably make you happier in the long run, since many of those who marry with great expectations become more disillusioned with each passing year. (It's hard to maintain that level of zing when the conversation morphs into discussions about who's changing the diapers or balancing the checkbook.) Obviously, I wasn't always an advocate of settling. In fact, it took not settling to make me realize that settling is the better option, and even though settling is a rampant phenomenon, talking about it in a positive light makes people profoundly uncomfortable. Whenever I make the case for settling, people look at me with creased brows of disapproval or frowns of disappointment, the way a child might look at an older sibling who just informed her that Jerry's Kids aren't going to walk, even if you send them money. It's not only politically incorrect to get behind settling, it's downright un-American. Our culture tells us to keep our eyes on the prize (while our mothers, who know better, tell us not to be so picky), and the theme of holding out for true love (whatever that is—look at the divorce rate) permeates our collective mentality. Even situation comedies, starting in the 1970s with The Mary Tyler Moore Show and going all the way to Friends, feature endearing single women in the dating trenches, and there's supposed to be something romantic and even heroic about their search for true love. Of course, the crucial difference is that, whereas the earlier series begins after Mary has been jilted by her fiancé, the more modern-day Friends opens as Rachel Green leaves her nice-guy orthodontist fiancé at the altar simply because she isn't feeling it. But either way, in episode after episode, as both women continue to be unlucky in love, settling starts to look pretty darn appealing. Mary is supposed to be contentedly independent and fulfilled by her newsroom family, but in fact her life seems lonely. Are we to assume that at the end of the series, Mary, by then in her late 30s, found her soul mate after the lights in the newsroom went out and her work family was disbanded? If her experience was anything like mine or that of my single friends, it's unlikely. And while Rachel and her supposed soul mate, Ross, finally get together (for the umpteenth time) in the finale of Friends, do we feel confident that she'll be happier with Ross than she would have been had she settled down with Barry, the orthodontist, 10 years earlier? She and Ross have passion but have never had long-term stability, and the fireworks she experiences with him but not with Barry might actually turn out to be a liability, given how many times their relationship has already gone up in flames. It's equally questionable whether Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, who cheated on her kindhearted and generous boyfriend, Aidan, only to end up with the more exciting but self-absorbed Mr. Big, will be better off in the framework of marriage and family. (Some time after the breakup, when Carrie ran into Aidan on the street, he was carrying his infant in a Baby Björn. Can anyone imagine Mr. Big walking around with a Björn?)
