What is EXAMINATION TABLE? What does EXAMINATION TABLE mean? EXAMINATION TABLE meaning - EXAMINATION TABLE definition - EXAMINATION TABLE explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ An examination table (or exam table) is used to support patients during medical examinations. During these exams, doctors in offices (UK: surgeries), clinics and hospitals use an adjusting mechanism to manipulate and position the table to allow patient support, closer examination of a portion or the entire patient, and the ability to move the patient on and off the table safely. Examination tables often have rolls of paper in which patients sit on, protecting the table. The paper is normally discarded after each patient uses the table. Examination tables have included electric motors since the 1970s. These are fitted underneath the tabletop and power cables generally detach to prevent a tripping hazard. The ability to transfer power forward and backwards using a reversible electric motor means greater mobility of the examination table.

When collecting data to make observations about the world it usually just isn't possible to collect ALL THE DATA. So instead of asking every single person about student loan debt for instance we take a sample of the population, and then use the shape of our samples to make inferences about the true underlying distribution our data. It turns out we can learn a lot about how something occurs, even if we don't know the underlying process that causes it. Today, we’ll also introduce the normal (or bell) curve and talk about how we can learn some really useful things from a sample's shape - like if an exam was particularly difficult, how often old faithful erupts, or if there are two types of runners that participate in marathons! ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (Deb Dixon) -- It was an ordinary moment that brought two mothers to an extraordinary place. The ordinary moment was an Anderson Township mother waiting in the doctor's office with her impatient daughters. That's where she came up with a business concept that has her and her partner talking to hospitals and offices as far away as Florida. Mackenzie Reckman is learning about senses in an examination room at Anderson Hills Pediatrics. But she's really into coloring on the Dr. Scribbles exam table paper. Christie Reckman, Mackenzie's mom, said, "All the different activities are on topic. So, it gives us something to talk about like health or learning about their bodies." The office is testing out Dr. Scribbles exam paper. Patients now ask to go in the Dr. Scribbles room. "If you're sitting here with nothing to do, waiting for somebody to com in a room, your anxiety levels can be a lot higher than if you have something to color, to keep busy while waiting for us," said Dr. Kathleen McGovern of Anderson Hills Pediatrics. And that's how Angela Malone came up with the Dr. Scribbles idea while waiting for the doctor with two impatient daughters. She tells Local 12, "My daughters and I went home started making up games we would like to play on it and that's it!" Games such as tic-tac-toe and word scrambles. It's custom made for each office or hospital and includes quick response bar codes to link waiting parents to websites. Sheila Stidham, President of Dr. Scribbles, said, "Medical and technology together. Because you have 56 percent of our population that use cellphones so why not use your smart phone to be able to educate entertain patient while they wait." The Dr. Scribbles technology can also send a messages to patients from Dr. Scribbles when they enter an office or hospital to welcome them. Dr. Scribbles is Angela Malone's idea but she was inspired by her mother's dying words. "In her dying breath she said, 'Angela, I need you to make a difference in the world.' Every roll that comes out is inspired by my mother. I know she's looking out for us." Two hospitals in Florida and Children's Hospital in Cincinnati are considering Dr. Scribbles. The mothers and businesswomen hope to find a sponsor to buy the paper for Shriner's Hospital. You can check out more on Dr. Scribbles by CLICKING HERE. Slime Sam and Sue know how to hide anything! Slick jelly Sam LOVES hiding his candy and toys all over the place for no apparent reason and Sue... Well, Sue hides things with a really interesting purpose. In this episode, you will find out how to hide secret DIY messages using school supplies, how to make a mind-blowing quest game and how to hide the clues for this game. 1:53 - cute mini-notepads that can fit in your palm 3:44 - a double ruler with a secret 5:52 - a spy eraser with a secret compartment 6:31 - invisible messages 9:30 - message in a bottle Slime Sam thinks it's so easy to become a secret agent, you just need to own a cool pair of sunglasses and a black cloak and you are all set! (Disclaimer: there's a small chance that Sam is confusing secret agents with superheroes...) Sue suggests him to pass an initiation test and solve multiple riddles to see if he is actually ready to become a spy. While he's at it talking to a bathroom monster and doing puzzles Sue herself is making DIY carriers for secret messages. Sam manages to solve all of the riddles although some of them were really hard. By the way, did you guys solve any riddles in this video by yourself? Write in the comments, we can't wait to see how you handled it! Also, let us know if you want us to make more videos with riddles for you to solve! After passing the test Sam receives a special slime badge and a certificate confirming that he is a part of a secret organization S.L.I.M.E. He is ready to take on any challenge that should come his way! Let us know if you want to see more episodes about special agent Sam! Do you like online quest games? Well, you know what I'm talking about, you have to go somewhere to find something using the clues and things you have to get things you don't have:) I'm telling you, it's so much more fun to play such games offline! This can be a fun idea for a kids birthday party, summer weekend outdoor activity or something you can do in class with your classmates. You can create an absolutely amazing and unique game with your own theme and clues. We used James Bond a.k.a Secret Agent 007 theme but you can go for anything you like. * Use a Disney theme! Dress everybody up like Disney princes, princesses, and fairytale creatures, draw the clues on paper and get your friends to look for a poisoned apple, a crystal slipper or a princess crown. * Use a Hatchimals theme! Make your own eggs with clues and hide them around the house. You can also hide party favors inside if this quest happens to be a part of your party. * Use a superhero theme! This one can play out for both boys and girls depending on your choice of superheroes. Dress everybody as your favorite superheroes and give them the superpowers to help them solve your riddles. There can also be a costume competition! * Use our spy theme! Get sunglasses for everyone (the cooler - the better), give them walkie-talkies and turn the lights down in the quest location. It can be an agent initiation test just like the one Sam did. You'll have the riddles hidden in different places and your friends will have to find them all to figure out the final clue and become real certified spies! How can you play a quest game in class? There are actually multiple ways to implement it in your studying routine. I'll tell you about the one I like the best and you tell me about your ideas in the comments! You can use clues and riddles for examining your classmates and help them to learn. If it's a Spanish class the clue can be "The object you are looking for is hidden behind el escritorio". If it's a math class the clue can be "Go 2*12-5 steps to the right and you will find the hidden object" and so on. And then the clues will lead somewhere that's related to the subject. You can use these cool mini-crafts with school supplies to hide the clues. All of them are easy to make and only require the things you already have on your desk. Watch the whole video for a detailed tutorial on each of these cute little DIYs. You can also use these secret message carriers to prank your classmates at school! Write a joke or draw a funny picture and hide it. Your friends will find it where they least expect it:) PREVIOUS EPISODE: 5 Magic Tricks That You Can Do! https://youtu.be/goCNXnb0LDU THE BEST SCHOOL HACKS AND CRAFTS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xm3X95C8jo&list=PLYsskVzwBG4qfjwbbPuQuCjRfYuoulOXk Check out Slime Sam's Community Tab and see his best pictures, funny GIFs, new episode announcements and much more! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCw5VDXH8up3pKUppIvcstNQ/community Subscribe to Sam's channel and give a thumbs up to motivate him to make more videos for you! https://goo.gl/zarVZo - - - All music is licensed under MUSIC STANDARD LICENSE: OPENING THEME Title: Cuckoo Source: https://audiojungle.net/item/cuckoo/20801073 Title: Playing Building Source: https://audiojungle.net/item/playing-building/15559599

Tim has hundreds of unusual pens in his toy collection, Here he demonstrates just a few of them. Some pens have flowers that open at the top; a pen (maybe for doctors?) looks like a syringe; a crocodile and a shark pen both have teeth that bite; there is an extendable pen, a pen that tells you how many miles you have written, and the challenge pen - you need to solve the maze before you can write. Maybe not good for that flash of inspiration that needs to be written down immediately!

The full Malvina Reynolds version, popularized as the theme song from the T.V. series, 'Weeds'. --LYRICS-- Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of ticky tacky, Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes all the same. There's a pink one and a green one And a blue one and a yellow one, And they're all made out of ticky tacky And they all look just the same. And the people in the houses All went to the university, Where they were put in boxes And they came out all the same, And there's doctors and lawyers, And business executives, And they're all made out of ticky tacky And they all look just the same. And they all play on the golf course And drink their martinis dry, And they all have pretty children And the children go to school, And the children go to summer camp And then to the university, Where they are put in boxes And they come out all the same. And the boys go into business And marry and raise a family In boxes made of ticky tacky And they all look just the same. There's a pink one and a green one And a blue one and a yellow one, And they're all made out of ticky tacky And they all look just the same.

Kaitlin Dillon ECED 170 Paper Plate Ring Toss Materials Needed: Paper towel roll, super glue, and paper plates! Simply glue the bottom side of the paper towel roll (whichever side you choose is up to you) Take about 6 paper plates, fold in half (hotdog style) and cut out middle of all paper plates. Paint colors are optional but would be more entertaining for children. How to Use It: Simply stand at a desired distance from the paper roll bar and toss the paper plate ring onto the paper towel roll. You can also walk to it and place it on effectively rather than tossing as well. It can be placed in any desired location for different effects of body movements. For example, placing it on the floor would be a low toss, and placing it on a table with be a high toss.

045 - Top 10 Gifts for Moms with Chronic Illness Want to be on the show, or give suggestions for future episodes? e-mail me at [email protected] or call (615) 567-3957 I LOVE presents! Honestly, I do love getting them - who doesn't? But I truly love giving them even more! As the older kids have become adults, they haven't wanted to ask for gifts, and I just found out why. The answer might help you too. They don't want to over-ask, and just didn't know what kind of price point we were aiming for. They know we can't do things like buy them a new home or furniture, and they felt awkward, so we gave them our budget, and then they were happy to let us know what they could use. In this list I have things for every budget. Let me know what you'd add & I'll put it up on the website! Top 10 Gifts for Moms with Chronic Illness Babysitting - Moms with chronic health issues get exhausted easily, and it can really wear us out to be the moms we want to be. A short break can do wonders for bringing back our enthusiasm & giving us the recharging we need to keep up with the kids. House cleaning - Let’s face it, after a day of running the kids around, going to doctors appointments, and some days - even just getting showered and dressed - we’re exhausted. But we don’t want to live in filth. Sure, we’re keeping the house clean, but being able to take a break and rest our bodies instead of scrubbing floors would really help us out. For me, deep cleaning my entire house at once would be like running a marathon, and let’s face it - neither of those thing are going to happen! I have someone deep clean once a month, and it’s one of the best gifts my husband gives me. Gift card for restaurant that delivers - Some days, even thinking about making dinner is exhausting, but with the costs of medical bills and medications, it’s hard to justify spending extra money on food from a restaurant. You can also buy a card from a delivery service like Grub Hub or Uber Eats Then your recipient can pick the restaurant & have anything they have a craving for delivered Comfortable blanket - I use several of these to keep warm, and keep comfortable. I can use them for supports behind my neck, or on my lap for my book or computer. Also, my hands and feet are always cold, even in summer, so they’re nice to have all year. My absolute favorites are these from Costco. The best part? They’re not only the softest, most comfortable blankets out there, but they’re affordable! (And under $10 in-store) Bedside hospital table - I LOVE my bedside table! It’s the kind you have at the hospital. It only has a bar up one side, and 2 rolling supports on the bottom that roll right under the bed or couch. I also have a night stand, but because I have so many things that I need, and getting up can be difficult, it’s great to have this extra table where I can reach it. The best part is that it rolls right over the bed, so I can eat at the table, work on my computer, or play games with the kids, even when I’m not feeling well enough to be up and about. Soft pajamas. Comfort is so important when our bodies are already making us uncomfortable. The ultimate choice for this would be a lounge outfit that feels like pajamas, but looks like something we could wear during the day - because we definitely will! Natural body care products. As noted above, we’ve got a lot of extra costs because of our health, and indulging on special body products isn’t on the top of the list. But that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t love to splurge on a fancy body lotion or bath scrub. The only thing to watch out for here is artificial scents and ingredients that might make us feel worse. Natural is definitely the way to go. Socks. Soft, comfortable socks. They’re like hugs for our feet. Socks that aren’t too tight around the ankle are the best. Bonus if they’re cute, we’ll smile every time we put them on. Pretty notebook/journal. Brain fog is real, and sometimes we forget things. Writing reminders on slips of paper is dangerous, because we either lose them or forget to look at them. Having a pretty notebook next to the bed would be a great way of reminding us to check it, and give us a place to put all those ideas that are keeping us up at night. You can find a Sick Mom's Guide Podcast notebook on Threadless. Last, but definitely not least is time. Time with you! Chronic life can get lonely. Sometimes it’s hard for us to get out, and it can get lonely sometimes. Having someone come visit me, and just sit for a few hours so we can talk and catch up with a cup of tea can make my whole week better. Schedule a time to come and visit. It’s a gift we won’t forget. BONUS - The Sick Mom's Guide to Having Fun Again: If I can do it, you can too! book on Amazon. You'll find over 225 things to do, using minimal energy! Chapter 7 is a list of 100 things to do with your kids, and 50 of them you can do when you can't get off the...
