4 bit ripple carry adder using RedPower
In this video you see a 4 bit ripple carry adder in action. The 2 inputs and the output of the adder are converted to 4 hexadecimal 7-segment displays. The first and second display show the inputs, the 3rd and 4th display show the output of the adder. All logic and the display were created using RedPowerCore, RedPowerWiring, RedPowerLogic and RedPowerLighting version 1.6.0

Doom hack that I made several years ago. counter.wad implements a 4-bit ripple carry adder, with the bits represented by voodoo doll marines on moving conveyor belts (a Boom feature). A button triggers the binary counter on the wall to increment, but you can see the internals of the machine by watching the marines go round.

16 bit minecraft cpu performs ADD and SUBTRACT
I have made a significant amount of progress since my last video on this little project of mine, my cpu can now perform add, subtract (sometimes), xor, xnor, and, nand, or, nor, shift left, rotate left, shift right and rotate right, as well as all of the memory/display functions outlined in my last video. Next I must build some comparators and implement conditional branching, see you next week :) btw found out who came up with insta-ripple-carry, check out his channel :) http://www.youtube.com/user/ohmgane3sha Follow me on twitter for daily updates on my builds/projects! https://twitter.com/101m4n

Minecraft 4-bit adding machine
I scrapped my 2-bit adding machine (which only worked for 75% of cases) and built a brand new 4-bit adding machine using a "ripple carry" adder. I talk about how it works in the video, but there's more information about it here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ripple_carry_adder#Ripple_carry_adder. This is the schematic for a correctly working adder generalized to n bits: http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/1254/photobz.jpg . The section labeled 1 is a "half adder", which doesn't utilize a C (carry) in value. All other bits require a "full adder" (label 2) which has a carry in and carry out. The gates in label 2 can be repeated as many times as desired for a n bit adder; for example, an n bit adder would have 1 half adder and n - 1 full adders. This is the schematic that I used for this adder.

Built using mostly instant logic. The few non-instant components only introduce a constant gate delay from input to output, versus delays on the carry which cause delay to accumulate as you move to the more significant bits.

Eliza QuickNotes Addendum [Season 2]
Eliza in S2 is less damaging and less gimmicky (unless you count easier FADC MG transitions as being gimmicky). But these nerfs are balanced out by the fact that her neutral pokes are much safer and viable and she has new combo routes and conversions--which is a change that I really enjoy a lot ^_^. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Notable Changes: -Eliza can no longer EX Divekick Pickup from CH MG 4 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can check out the Eliza Season 2 Patch Notes here: http://qatarfgc.com/tekken-patch-notes/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SONG USED: Castlevania Order of Ecclesia - Jaws of a Scorched Earth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Mac3Yli6_Y ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ***Unrelated note but I'm very proud of that beginning ripple transition in the beginning of the video. Adobe Premiere doesn't have a preset ripple transition like iMovie does so I had to manually keyframe and animate a Distort video effect filter to create that transition ^_^.

Minecraft 4 Bit Redstone Adder (Ripple-Carry)
This is a simple 4 bit adder made with redstone in Minecraft. It can add numbers up to 15 together. The cave and all items were placed manually so it took a good few hours to make. Basically it uses logic gates to add the two numbers given together, one bit at a time. I'm kind of rubbish at explaining things so I'll give a link instead: http://www.play-hookey.com/digital/adder.html

Redstone Calculator Tutorial 2.0 - 9 - Instant Carry Addition
In this episode we set up our adder design that will be used for the rest of the series. NOTE: if you're freaking out that I'm using ICA scroll down. * The three (and ONLY three) reasons to avoid pistons are: to avoid timing quirks, to explore more advanced addition algorithms, and bandwagon hopping. No part of this calculator is timing-intensive - no data loop, no CPU, no nothing. This is a beginner series - no need to introduce advanced CLA/E. Also, if you're going pistonless because of the trend, then I can't help you. Enjoy your high horse. (yes this is for you phase)

Minecraft - 4 Bit Binary Counter with BCD to 7 Segment LED Driver using REDPOWER
I've been wanting to build one of these for a while. Using Eloraam's Redpower mod (www.eloraam.com) has really made this pretty easy, with the null cell it's easy to make the non intersecting bus lines. I've used 4 toggle latches to serve as my 4 bit counter (altho it counts in reverse for some reason) and built the BCD to 7 segment LED driver based on a schematic from a real world part. The schematic is on PG 6 of this PDF: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/sn7447a.pdf

Block Counter Tutorial
Some new PvP Tech! I definitely had more footage but my recording software ate up the last hour and thirty minutes. So the video will be a little down in quality and production. Anyways! On to the new tech! What is a *Block Counter*? It's a way to counter your opponents attack by skipping the block stun animation! **So how does it work?** Quite simple but also quite tricky in timing. If you attack just *slightly* after you block an attack you will fully block the said attack but skip the block stun animation, causing an immediate devestating counter attack! Some things to note. *Weapons that allow you to attack while blocking, such as the Estoc, Spear and Halberd will not Block counter unless you two hand them or Heavy attack (R2). That means Light attacks will not work with them! *You can use heavy attacks (R2) to Block Counter! *Big weapons have a much harder time actually landing the block counter blow against faster weapons since the second attack is quicker than yours. Gain some hyper armor so they cant interrupt your Block Counter! We've tested with several different weapons and they all seem to work really well! Now go out there and punish those R1 spammers! Minecraft Tutorial :: Incrementing/Decrementing Binary Counter and Decoders
I found a need for a binary counter with both increment and decrement functionality plus a fairly compact size. I searched and found a fairly compact counter that increments only but couldn't find a tutorial for one with both increment and decrement. So, I came up with a way to decrement a piston ripple counter so I am creating a tutorial for it plus I'll show you guys how to make decoders so you can use them in your creations. Enjoy! The original counter I found multiple versions of, so I'm not sure who the original creator was, but I know it wasn't me. The decrement portion is all I am claiming as my own design. The decoders I believe I borrowed from CodeCrafted, but it's been awhile on those too. I threw them in so you could get all of your info without having to jump between lots of videos. RedPower Counter Explanation Part 1
Made a goof at around 6:48 when I said it would count backwards. It would not count backwards. The decrement would have to go from 9 down to 1 starting at the first counter to make it count backwards. Part 1 of 3; in this video I begin the demonstration and explanation of a counter I built with the aid of Eloraam's RedPower mod. I made this video because I found that a lot of the tutorial videos for redstone counters didn't fully explain how they worked, so I go into explicit detail.
