Every life is a story. Everybody has a chapter we don't read out loud. What if, at any given moment, you had the power to rewrite a line in someone else's chapter? What if, by the simple act of unexpected kindness, you could change the course of another life? Sometimes, all a wounded heart needs to begin healing, is the kindness found in a simple gesture. There's no textbook necessary to learn the language of kindness. Its one the blind can see and the deaf can hear. Never underestimate a single act of your kindness, it has the power to affect lives in ways you may never know. This is The Kindness Effect, a new book by Jill Donovan. What would it look like if one individual takes time out of their day to share an act of love with someone else? How would our society respond by witnessing such acts of love? Let us aim to inspire good works and distribute kindness, so that we may create a domino effect in our culture. Romans 13:8

Whether you’re a 5th grader or a caregiver, or if you smile to get through a tough situation or so that others will smile, too, you hold the power to create a ripple effect of kindness throughout your day. We spent the day with Emory Cook from Rolling Hills elementary school (http://www.fsusd.org/rollinghills) and Justine Chan from Dignity Health to see how smiling can foster human connection without saying a word, and improve the health, well-being, and happiness of you and those around you. In support of the 2017 Great Kindness Challenge, Dignity Health’s more than 65,000 executives, employees, and physicians will be matching students’ good deeds with kind acts in their hospitals and facilities. Join us as we smile for kindness, healing and health. Download the checklist here: https://DignityHealth.org/checklist.

The ripple effect... How far can one small act of kindness spread? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxlhzfSQBtg http://trueagape.net/2013/07/24/best-birthday-ever-random-acts-of-kindness/ I dont want to brag about my wife... but if you know anything about her you know that she is awesome! It takes a special woman to laugh at my jokes... So why is 6 afraid of 7... I dont know... Because 7 8 9 hahaha Ok so maybe i laugh a little more than she does... but shes a good sport about it :) Now let me make this as clear as I possibly can... This is in no way shape or form about my wife nor about what she did... And actually she doesnt even know i am making this video... shhhh This video its about you! And how you can make a difference in your world. My wife just celebrated her 25th birthday by doing 25 random acts of kindness... She had been preparing for a few weeks with getting everything ready to go. I knew about some of the ideas... but I didn't know who would get what and how things would work out! I thought it was a very cool idea. I received a text from her mid morning telling me how the first 4 had gone... people's reactions were mixed but everyone was surprised and shocked to say the least! As the day went on I was getting inspired knowing that people's lives were being impacted in a way that we will never know... it was very strange to not be directly involved with the project yet it was having a very big impact on me and I couldn't wait to hear all the stories and experiences she had! Later that afternoon I was at the gym getting my workout in and one of the trainers approached me... he said "your wife" it was almost as if he couldn't find the words to express what he was feeling... Come to find out the trainer was the first person to receive his act of kindness... and he was given 12 hand written motivational quotes bound together with a ring... He was totally blown away and it totally made his morning and rest of the day and possibly the entire week! Here is where it gets exciting... as he read the quotes he realized that each quote was specifically appropriate to individual clients... so when he worked with a client he found the quote that suited their needs the best... I believe original cassies plan was to directly impact one person... but sometimes our plans are so great... so powerful... so awesome that our plan is actually part of a much bigger plan... our ideas become bigger than our self... so much greater than we could have ever imagined! At diner cassie shared all of the stories with me... After hearing all the stories I just couldn't help but smile, laugh at some... and seriously hold back tears on others... It was a truly powerful experience for my wife, myself and anyone else involved. Its the ripple effect... just like if you were to throw a rock into a pool of water... the rings would ripple... The idea that everything is purposeful really changes the way you live. To think that everything that you do has a ripple effect, that every word that you speak, every action that you make affects other people and the planet. Victoria Moran Everyday we have an opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone we come across! And its very likely that your good deed will have a far greater impact than you could have imagined! Have you ever done a random act of kindness... what did you do... how did you feel? Leave a comment below letting me know! like share So this is how it went down... Hello Can i help you They look confused and wondering what cassie is wanting/looking for/needing Cassie then says today for my 25th birthday i am doing 25 random acts of kindness Uh ok... they are still expecting something is up... Id like to give you this... O wow! Boom pattern interrupt! and there word just got rocked! I wish i could have seen their faces as well as how it impacted their life!

If you like what you see, Go check out there channel and Subscribe. Has anyone ever done something kind that made your day? I have a friend who taught me something so beautiful. I remember in high school, she wrote me a random note of encouragement, which I still read sometimes when I am feeling down. After that, I began writing kind messages to brighten people's day. Sometimes all it takes is a simple smile or hello to cheer someone up. Some like to call this phenomenon The Ripple Effect. It suggests we should begin to bless others as the world and others have blessed us. My encouragement for you (or your organization) is to do a random act of kindness for someone, and/or tell us how someone helped you, and let us know what you did to pay it forward. What would it be like if we stopped putting so much emphasis on guarding ourselves and started putting it into creating a world filled with love and kindness? A world where we look out for each other and celebrate the beauty of humanity together. We believe that the answer is to spread kindness. That is why we started the "KindSpread" initiative. So many people have great intentions to create a better world but are not sure where to begin. Little do they know, small things they are already doing have a ripple effect on others around them. The phrase "pay it forward" is a response to a person's kindness to oneself by being kind to someone else. Countless people practice this on a daily basis, unknowing of the impact a perceivable tiny good deed actually has on others. PIFcoin is a means to track, inspire and most importantly, promote paying acts of kindness forward. The goal is to further advocate the ‘pay it forward’ agenda by physically using a coin passed from one person to the next. This will give everyone the ability to share experiences and receive updates as it gets passed along. FOR EXAMPLE: A man at Stop & Shop sees an elderly woman struggling with heavy grocery items and helps her by assisting loading them into her trunk. In turn, the woman, so appreciative of the random act of kindness, decides to pay it forward by tipping the waiter at a diner later that day an extra $20 dollars for his great service. That waiter, so impressed with the woman’s generosity, decides with those few extra dollars to buy the woman behind him at 7-11 her coffee. And so on and so on. An unknowingly amount of acts of kindness can spur from just one. The original man who helped the elderly lady with groceries has no way of knowing that he has just indirectly, in a small way, impacted the lives of many people stemming from his random act. Who knows, depending on the increasing instances of kindness, it can lead to much larger and impactful things than just coffee or a kind gesture. It can lead to life changing, life altering and possibly even lifesaving scenarios.
